Chapter 32 - Ready for...Um

Luke wrapped an arm around my waist as Rema's head fell in the crook of my neck. Funny how dazzling men could disgust you.

I kneed Rema as he easily dodged it with his hand, never lifting his lips from my skin.

Luke clicked his tongue before advising, "I would consider my actions."

"You are trying to assault me. Why wouldn't I want to hurt you?" I demanded as I grasped his hand to remove it from my body. The fact that they were naked flipped my stomach in loathing.

"What?" Rema briskly faced me, "Assaulting?"

I huffed in disbelief.

"And what do you think you are doing? Massaging me?"

"Enough."

Shadow cast over us as I gazed up at the voice source.

"Mizu?" Luke asked, confused.

"Mizu," I muttered and inwardly thanked him for the interruption.

"Let go of Rebel," he jumped down from the stones and tore Rema from me.

Mizu grabbed my arm and ordered me while glaring at the pink-haired, "Remember Abigor's words."

What? He… Oh, he taught me a new move. No, 'taught' me.

Okay. Abigor said to um… to… yes! To savor the feeling and then aim it to my target. I felt fear. But it was overwhelming me. How could I control others with it?

"Kill that feeling in you," Mizu instructed while still peering at raging Rema.

Easier said than done. I squeezed my eyes shut, and inhaled. I imagined as all the fear surged through my hands. That way, I could look at it as a power, not a feeling. Mizu by my side helped me handle my angst. Then I locked my eyes with Rema as his features softened and were replaced by something else. Interest? Confusion? Affection? Why was he looking at me so warmly?

Fear me.

All of a sudden, Rema's eyes widened, and his hands started shaking as he was lost. Soon his eyes narrowed at me as he stepped closer, but Mizu's hand tightened on me and let me keep on going with my ministrations.

Rema's member softened, and excitement clouded as a sly smile built on my face. New feeling overpowered his lust. Yes!

"No!" Mizu protested, and I halted my advances as I faced him for an explanation.

Rema breathed out before transforming into a wolf and storming out in the forest.

"Rema!" Luke called out to him and shortly after followed in him in his beast form.

"You should devoid yourself of any emotions, Rebel," Mizu answered my curiosity while still staring at the track his friends took. Then he gazed down at me with a sincere smile that could win anyone's heart and declared, "Now, let's get you home, shall we?"

***

I jolted up in my bed, drenched in sweat. My crazed breathing was impossible to soothe. Before I appeared in my chamber, Abigor gave me a pill, saying if I ever wanted energy for naughty things with his son, I should have taken it. But I was edgy about another fact.

Axel. Did he find out? Could he? He was smart. Way more intelligent than I would prefer in my state. I scanned the bed, but I was even more displeased when I couldn't find Axel by my side.

A knock resonated in the room and yanked my attention to it as I desperately tried to think of all the places Axel could be. My hand caressed his side, and my eyes snapped to it as his side of the bed was cold. He had left the chamber long before I woke up.

"Come in."

"Your majesty," Olivia came inside with bent head and hands placed on her stomach, one over another.

"Hey, Olivia," I stood from the bed and was relieved I wore my pajamas. "By any chance, do you know where is the king?"

Olivia looked at me baffled and then shook her head.

The preparation went without her dancing and eating my brains out with her songs.

The dresses that my armoire was filled with were all unusual. All gifted from Axel. I wore a pink dress cut in the front, and the long chiffon trail slithered behind. From the outside, I wore a long black leather coat and matching high heel boots. This time my crown had pink jewels on the twists. My hair curled and messily dangled on my back.

Yet the most astonishing thing was when Olivia wrapped black cloth around my ankle and slipped a knife inside. The Dragon clan sure was full of surprises. I would appreciate and even praise their nation if not for the anger I felt for their king and now my husband.

I sauntered down to the dining hall and took a deep breath before I pushed the doors open.

Everyone's glimmering and admiring eyes landed on me. Ash, Danu, Grey, Harley, and Fuliko stood up and bowed from the waist. At the head of the table, Axel just smiled at me as he was lazily sprawled on his seat.

"Relax," one word from me was enough for them to return to their seats.

"You look enchanting, my lady," Grey complimented me with courtesy.

I smiled at him as I sat across from the king. Axel still had no idea of my contract with his father.

Something bothered me, and I couldn't dig in my meal. I raised my head and furrowed as Ash was studying me carefully.

I tilted my head and lifted an eyebrow as if to ask him the reason. Ash just smiled, but his narrowed brown eyes seconds ago said otherwise. Danu nudged him lightly as they both turned to their plates.

I had a new family, and if not for the rage, I would express my fondness towards them. But even they couldn't protect me from some dangers. No one had a safety guaranteed. Not even a queen.

What was wrong? Did Axel do something?

The rest of the breakfast went in silence. While the men were leaving the hall, Axel was examining me, boring into my soul. His eyes never left mine.

When we were left alone, he uttered carelessly, "What's wrong?"

I quirked my brow at his nerve to ask that, "Should something be wrong?"

I wondered where Femme was. I bet her satisfied grin would prove my doubts.

His eyes narrowed again as he tilted his head. All of a sudden, Axel stood and started strolling towards me. My neck ached as he neared me.

I gasped when Axel hoisted me up and took my place before setting me on his lap.

He flashed me a marvelous smile drenched with mischief and masked with an innocence that riled me.

"Should it be?" He trailed off as he crooked his neck as if to study me better.

But his actions were just a game for me. He played with me again.

"I'm not your doll," I snickered as his eyes became serious.

"You certainly aren't," that was the last thing I heard before Axel captured my lips in a bruising kiss.

I pushed on his chest, but he pulled me closer, intentionally wriggling my hips on him. My attempt to look strong went to waste since his touches were intoxicating and impossible to deny.

Soon I snaked my hands around his neck. Axel groaned when I shoved my fingers in his raven hair and pulled it a little.

If I wanted for someone to be strong enough to go against the monster that had captured Eres, I had to have sex with Axel. And as a queen, I had to sacrifice my desires. To be honest, I didn't shun the thought of Axel touching me. Yes, something urged me to lift his curse, but I, too, wanted sex with him.

And if he found out about my secrets, it would be questionable if he still chose to stay by my side.

"Axel," I broke the kiss as Axel stared into my eyes, concentrated, "I'm ready."

The dragon king's eyes widened, and eyebrows quirked before something dark found its way to his blue orbs. He knew what I meant. Somehow he always knew. Even with my guards high up.
