Erland racked his brains. He had never been this difficult to convince a woman. Even his former lover would immediately melt just by hearing him speak in such a soft tone. However, it seems that this is not the case for Briel.
"I'm serious, and very sincerely apologize to you," Erland said pitifully.
"Oh, but I wouldn't believe it if there wasn't any evidence," said Briel.
Erland frowned. He gasped when Briel gave him her shopping basket so that in his left and right hands Erland was holding two baskets.
"I'm going shopping. I'm going to find something," said Briel and turned away from Erland.
'Shit, what does that mean? Did she ask me to bring her shopping cart?' Erland thought.
Realizing Erland wasn't following her, Briel turned around and saw Erland.
"I'll believe you're seriously apologizing if you give me proof," said Briel.
Erland sighed.
