"Are you realizing what you just said?" James asked.
He glared at his daughter in disbelief. Even James had to shift his seat. So he could see Naomi's face clearly.
"Yes, father. I have made my decision. I will not quit my job."
"Huh? Are you kidding, Naomi?" Sharon finally joined the conversation. She was surprised by Naomi's words just now.
"Naomi! If you work with me, you'll even earn more than you are a teacher," James kept on persuading.
"You seem to have misunderstood, Dad. I don't need much money to support myself. I just want to be what I want to be," Naomi grabbed James' hand and held it tightly.
"I'm not like what you used to know. Since I decided to leave and live independently, I know all the risks I take. I learned a lot when I wasn't with you," Naomi explained, but James still shook his head.
