Moments before.
"Huh...!"
Emily had just walked into the convenience store.
"I feel so tired today," she said, looking at her tattered brown wallet.
"But the pay is quite high, compared to a few days ago. I think ... I'd prefer to work part-time at the restaurant. Not so bad," Emily said and headed deeper into the department store.
She began to choose the things she needed, starting from toiletries and instant food that will meet their needs for the next few days.
"I think mom will like this food," Emily said as she took a can of fruit.
"Why so expensive?! I'll choose something else," Emily put the canned fruit back on the shelf.
She began to look at the price tag, looking for the best price or arguably the cheapest.
While Emily was choosing, she could hear a commotion from the next hall. A girl's voice was familiar to her ears, and a man's voice chimed in.
