Isabella followed in Naomi's footsteps. The new homeroom teacher has been in the office for two weeks. A young teacher who is attentive and seems eager to spread positivity to the students she teaches.
It all started when Isabella got into a fight with her friends in the women's restroom. It was a very chaotic situation, and Isabella had gotten a lot of beatings all over her body, except for her face, which still looked safe.
Somehow, they didn't hit Isabella in the face. Maybe the bullies knew that Isabella had a special bodyguard, and they could have dodged it because she didn't hurt Isabella's face.
When the fight in the toilet was getting more exciting. It's just happened that Naomi came and immediately stopped the fighting. When she wanted to punish the student who bullied Bella, in fact, the young girl made a strange defense.
Naomi remembered when Bella screamed and said,
"DON'T! WE'RE JUST FRIENDING! AND I'M OK! NO ONE HIT ME!"
Those words still echoed in Naomi's mind. Even when She directed Bella to speak on the school roof. So, Bella could speak freely. But in reality, the young girl still didn't want to prolong the matter.
"I DON'T WANT TO TAKE MY FATHER'S TIME! HE WILL BE ANGRY IF I ASK FOR HIS PRECIOUS TIME!"
The words echoed in Naomi's mind again. At that time, she and David's figure were already on the roof of the school building.
"Unlucky!" Naomi cursed in annoyance as she sat leaning, her body against the tall building divider. Her gaze turned to the bright blue sky.
Bella looked surprised at Naomi's behavior, "Why did she bring me here?" she mumbled softly.
"Mr. David?" Naomi turned to the man beside her with a grim face.
"Yes, what is up?" asked Bella in surprise.
"You know, what Bella's been going through has been really difficult lately. I heard she lost her grandmother. I'm sorry for her passing."
"But, there are other things that I'm worried about with Bella's current state. Even though... even though you give one guard, but... that doesn't mean your daughter is always in good condition," Naomi said in annoyance.
"Hmm?" Bella frowned in confusion. "She still wants to talk about this? What's the matter with this teacher? I told her not to interfere with my problems!" thought Bella annoyed.
"Why are you just silent? huh... you're indeed a father who doesn't care about your daughter. Oh... Gosh! Even though I'm not married yet, But... but why do I want to give you advice," Naomi's face stiffened.
"Your daughter has had a lot of bad things at school. You should care more about her! Have you ever asked how she was doing at school? How was her day? Was she happy or not. Who are her friends?"
Bella was silent because she already knew the answer, "We're not that close, Miss Naomi," Bella answered honestly from her point of view.
"Hehehe...!" Naomi chuckled at David's words.
"What is so funny?" Bella asked because of not understanding.
"Now, I understand why your daughter is so distant from you," Naomi said as she walked closer to David, who was Bella.
"You are a selfish man. An irresponsible father, and..." Naomi's index finger was already pointing at the nose of the man in front of her.
"And too selfish. Do you know if your daughter gets bullied time and time again? Do you know... if she needs your attention, even if it's just a little. Why... why are you so selfish and don't care at all!" Naomi snapped.
Bella was taken aback by Naomi's words. She didn't expect her homeroom teacher to pay so much attention to her. But... didn't Bella want anyone to care about her... because...
"What for?" said Bella with her face still erect.
Fortunately, David's stature is tall and bigger than Naomi's. So Bella didn't have to bother to look up. The cold eyes that David usually had, had already been used by Bella.
"What? What are you saying? Mr. David..." Naomi wanted to protest but Bella had cut her off.
"Why should he know about my condition? You don't know my father, Miss Naomi," Bella thought angrily and clenched her fists.
"Miss Naomi!" Bella's voice rose slightly. But she forgot to use her father's voice. What happened instead seemed to be intimidating the woman in front of her.
"What do I know! In fact, I don't care. I have many other things to do, my job, and also with my women," said Bella, honestly describing her father figure.
"You? How could you have the heart to say something like that!" Naomi had even lowered one index finger.
"Bella is a strong girl, and I'm sure she can go through all the difficulties without me," Bella continued, annoyed and again, she told the truth to describe her figure.
"How can you be that cruel, Mr. David! When you say something like this. I was wondering... I thought if Bella was not your daughter!" Naomi snapped. It felt like she wanted to give another hard slap to the figure of David who was in front of her and made that innocent face.
"I don't know! Looks like you're right, Miss Naomi. I don't think she's my daughter," Bella simply said.
Indeed, this has always been in her mind. Bella has been thinking and hoping that she is not a descendant of a David Mahendra. A father she never expected.
"Why can you say such a cruel thing, Mr. David! You are outrageous," Naomi's fists grew irritated.
"How about you?! Why are you interfering so much with my business? Can't you just shut up and pretend she's not around. I think that's best for Bella. So... don't get too involved in me and my daughter's business!" Bella was already annoyed and her voice rose rapidly again.
"PLAK!!!"
Another hard slap had landed on David's other cheek. And the dumbfounded look Bella gave as she rubbed her reddened cheeks.
"I've been holding myself back from being rude to you, Mr. David. Think of this as the hurt you gave, Bella. If you don't want to protect your daughter, go ahead!" Naomi's breath became hot as she spoke with overflowing emotions.
"Why are you defending, Bella?" asked Bella in surprise.
"Is there a need for a special reason to defend a daughter, who was dumped by her father?" Naomi replied as she walked. She accidentally bumped into David's shoulder as she walked past him.
"Crazy! That teacher is so crazy," Bella said when Naomi had left her on the school roof.
Unbeknownst to Bella and Naomi. Actually, there was David who was hiding and listening to the words of the two people. Luckily Isabella's body is small, so David can easily slip.
David watched every word that was thrown between Naomi and his daughter. He just stood there with an annoyed face.
"What an idiot! You got slapped twice by a woman like that, David! Huh... that sucks. Why does she care so much anyway!" said David annoyed.
