Elara sits in her room with a book in her hand when someone knocked at her door. She got up heading to the door swinging it open. Ms. Diana, one of the workers stood there. She was more like a nanny to her.
"Elara, what are you doing hiding in your room?" She says and Elara looks at her confused. She never had a problem with her staying in her room until...now. She opened the door wider and pointed at the book laying on her bed, "I'm reading a book. Do you need some help?"
"I'm not the one who needs help, you do." She says studying her. Ms. Diana was sometimes very difficult to understand. She pushed back some imaginary strands of hair smiling up at her.
"Could I perhaps help you with something?" She asked once again but a different voice answered instead. She stared past Ms. Diana to the person approaching. She could have noticed him even in a crowd. His hair was rather messy today but actually looked good on him. He wore a simple black tight t-shirt and black jeans with some random black sneakers, a baseball cap in his hand.
"Oh, I'll just excuse myself," She says smiling at Elara before leaving.
She looked at him quietly as he approached. Elara quickly got out shutting the door to her room and standing in front of it. He smirked clearly showing his thoughts had now wandered off. He stopped in front of her, a little too close for her liking.
"Why are you here?" That was the first question she asked. He looked down at her smiling even more. She tried to look both sides wondering if she could find someone to rescue her from her current...situation.
He cupped her chin with his right hand turning her face back to him. "I thought you were supposed to start with hello, hi, good midday-"
"It's now afternoon and there's no such thing as good midday." She corrected. She looked up at him as he towered over her. His hand above her head. She felt like a child once again. She swallowed opening her mouth to speak. "Why are you here? You just don't show up in people's houses uninvited."
"You're wrong. I did tell your father....but that was when I had already arrived."
"That's not how it's done." She said staring into his eyes. 'Why are you here, Aeneas? You are not supposed to be at our family's residence."
Aeneas stared at her face without saying a thing. Her face slowly started turning red. He reached over pocking her cheeks. "Cute," he whispered making her blush even more. He thought she was cute. He placed his hand behind her opening the door to her room. She nearly fell back but he managed to hold her. He stood taking in each detail in her room. Most of the things were white and sky blue. He moved over to her bed taking a seat and inviting her over. She walked to him and sat down. He reached over to his side getting out a blue box and handing it to her.
Elara stared at it surprised. "What is this?" She asked staring down at the box refusing to take it. Aeneas sighed, "Just take the freaking box and check. Try not to be annoying all the time." Elara tried not to look hurt. She took the box placing it on her lap. Aeneas quickly noticed the expression on her face and regretted his selection of words. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. I just get angry all of a sudden and-" he sighs, "I got you some chocolates. I've heard they're quite good though I've never had that kind before. Try some." He said opening the box and picking up one heart-shaped chocolate placing it next to her lips.
This time, she was the one to smile. She opened her mouth and he fed it to her. Her lips and tongue grazed his finger in the process and he pulled back. She stared at him confused by his reaction. She too picked chocolate raising it up to his mouth. He quickly pushed it away, "I bought it for you, right? So have it."
Elara stared at her chocolate before something clicked in her mind, "Oi! Did you poison these?!!!"
"What? No! Why are you yelling?" he asked surprised.
Elara stood up on the bed, chocolate in her hand. "I know you're not interested in marrying me and that I'm not exactly your type...."She said not forgetting to quote the word 'type' and continuing, "....but I am not going to die at twenty-one. You better eat! That explains the funny taste!"
"What funny taste? I'm telling you that this is not poisoned. Why are you making stupid assumpt-" She placed it closer to his mouth screaming. "EAT IT OR I'LL SCREAM!!!"
He quickly ate it. She had already started screaming.
