Chapter 3 - BEGINNINGS 3

"Ursur," I say as I turn around. "Why not trail your hand through the surf?" Slowly as if bothered by the waves he creeped closer. As the sky brightens once more his body starts straining against his own excitement as he grows used to this new feeling wondering what will happen next.

Wading out till the swells were to his knees Ursur reached into the rolling tides and out of the waters birds took wing! Songs and chirps filled the air along with croaks, hooting and bright trills as the sun shines bright once more!

Not far off from where he stands a breeching whale blows forth a geyser and dolphins leap as if to play with the gulls. Astounded by the sight he doesn't feel the smaller fish bumping into his hand to nibble on whatever they've found on his fingers.

And there we stand watching, listening to the waves coming in and going out. To the birds and whales singing in the distance. As we enjoy the peace of this fledgling world time continues to pass and once again the sky blackens till the morn.

"Come my son! For there is yet more for us to behold this day;" I exclaim, "And be sure to watch your step!"

Looking down there Ursur sees crabs and mussels, starfish and more walking and swimming along the sand by his feet. The sky brightening once more

One step at a time I watch as he turns and makes slow deliberate movements to the sands edge as the fish, crabs and muscles move from under his feet.

I let loose a hearty laugh and call out "Look at me son and step up!" Ursur catches my eye and lifts his foot once more. This time the waters surface behaving like stone bearing his full weight as he starts walking towards us once more.

"My sons!" I say "Run inland and see what you find!" The joy in my heart indescribable as they look at each other with smiles to their ears and then to me. They take off full stride towards the tree line to see what other wonders would happen.
