Adley rounded hearing Lucas's statement. Instantly he stepped back while rubbing his arms with goosebumps. The man had never even thought of that even in a dream.
"Why?" Lucas dipped his eyebrows as if he didn't accept Adley's demeaning attitude.
"Yes, because it's you, Lucas. Only Ellena can love you. No one else can love and accept your flaws like her. You should be grateful that she accepted you," Adley explained with a shrug and raised both hands.
Lucas furrowed his brows at Adley's words. He was really offended now.
"What do you mean I'm a difficult person for a woman to accept?"
Adley chose to sit on the sofa and crossed his right leg over his left.
"Yes, if you refer to your character. However, it's a different story if you mean your handsome face and wealth," replied Adley very casually. However, it made Lucas clench his fists in anger.
"You mean I'm so bad that I don't deserve to be a lover?"
