DARK MATTER RISING
10:00 pm....Unknown location
Teitoku Kakiene....Dark Matter..the second strongest Esper in Academy City walked down the dark halls of the unknown building, his golden brown hair fluttered slightly in the wind as he smiled at the dark coldness that surrounded him. "Now now....hiding from me isn't very nice..."
Teitoku turned to see Mavis, the first master of Fairy Tail standing several meters away from him, her usual cheery expression was now that of a determined girl, iron willed to protect her friends.
"You're underestimating Fairy Tail...Dark Matter..." said Mavis. "If I were you...I wouldn't proceed down this path..."
"You may be right.." said Dark Matter. "But she is the key..she is the key for me to get stronger..to reach level 6...Black Whisper made plently of mistakes where Railgun is concerned..but I won't make the same ones."
"And what then..when you finally face her in battle?" said Mavis. "You won't defeat her..she has the will of Fairy Tail behind her..and that isn't easily beaten."
"Fool." said Dark Matter. "I am immortal...there is nothing that can truly kill me me...behold.."
Dark Matter spread his hands out, and like pieces of strange matter putting itself together out of nothing, multiple clones of Dark Matter formed around Mavis, all speaking at the same time. "I am everywhere, everything, I have no true body...everything is my body...defeat one of me..and another shall take it's place...I am now beyond even Accelerator or you silly mages..."
"Immortal you may be.." said Mavis. "But you aren't invincible. Fairy Tail will defeat you."
"And if they do?" said Teitoku. "What's to stop Diablo Etwatia from tearing their heads from their puny bodies..? I've seen what they are up against...I know what is coming...the only thing left to do before this world of darkness takes over is to become darker and more powerful then anything else...to truly experience survival of the fittest."
"You're wrong." said Mavis. "Because it will never come to that...Dravis is nearing the end of his life...his fate was sealed the moment Mikoto Misaka was born into this world...and your quest for power is nothing but a fool's errand..."
"Let me be..ghost." said Teitoku. "I don't need to recieve silly warnings from a woman who bears the appearance of a small child..."3
Mavis paused for a bit..then in a wisp of wind she dissapeared. In that instant, Teitoku's clones all disintegrated into nothing as the first Teitoku continued to walk down the dark hall. How quaint...that he should be warned by the original master of a doomed guild.
Teitoku let a slow crazed smile creep it's way across his lips. Soon...soon..this would all be over...he would gain the power he would need to transcend all other beings...and Fairy Tail? What chance did those powerless bunch of misfits have?
Teitoku closed his fist and then opened his hand, letting a strange white beetle that hadn't been there before fly out of his palm and flutter into the wind. It would all end....all of it would end with him.
A Dark Dimension beyond reason...time: irrelevant.
He opened his eyes...staring out into the darkness wearily, as for the first time in millions of eons, he awoke. Never before had anything stirred him from his sleep so. This feeling of darkness...it felt familiar....
Dravis....that was the only explanation. His old creation Dravis was now on the verge of taking over all the planes of existance. How amusing..in all his time of researching the true nature of darkness, never had he imagined that Dravis would come so far...
But wait...he sensed another force...a puny speck by far, but a larger threat then any....a human girl...seemingly insignificant...but actually so much more.
How amusing, thought the dark diety known as Asgawrath. I shall watch this...and see where it leads...though I am tired and wish to sleep more...I feel this might just be enough to rouse me from my slumber...this final battle..where will it lead?
Will she...this...Railgun...as she is called, will she transcend my creation? Or will she fall to the darkness?
As Asgawrath pondered this, he couldn't help but feel a growing excitement. Could this girl be the one? The true answer he had been searching for...the true answer to the darkness..be within her?
Asgawrath then made a decision. When this battle was over...if that girl overcame Dravis...if she did so happen to overcome the trials before her....he would awaken...he would awaken and see....if she was truly the one...if she truly was the answer to the darkness.....
My black heart has never felt such lust..thought Asgawrath...Such a lust for answers... Continue your journey Mikoto Misaka...If you succeed...then I shall see you soon enough....at the end of my great slumber......
End of Epilogue.
Well....that's the end of the 6th book...I have to say, I think I'm starting to feel excited. Writing this series has been the ultimate thrill for me..and I admit, the 7th and final book of my first R.I.F.T. series has got me the most exicited. Mainly because the locations that I'm going to right about are all places I've been to...you could say that the seventh book is going to be like a world tour...with a lot of explosions (can't dissapoint Natsu, can i?)
