CRASH, BAM, BAM, all four of us turned our heads towards the living room, Nic and Nolan were beating up John, who had a bloody lip, people were cheering and yelling as Nick and Nolan started to kick him, John quickly moved out of the way and threw some red paint onto them, as he smirked, soon disappearing into the crowded as the twins tried to run after him, me Molly, Abby, Lily and me all just had a blank face, not surprised by the small fight, John always gets into fights with other students, he's been the type to aggravate others ever since we were little but back when we were friends I didn't notice it, I shrugged "Talk about perfect timing" Molly said "What do you mean" I asked a bit confused "Oh, Molly made a bet with me that if John came to the party that around 10:32pm, he would start some stupid fight and I would owe her 10 bucks" Abby explained as she handed Molly ten bucks and took a sip of her Dr pepper, "Our group psychic" Lily said with a chuckle, which was kind of true, Molly had been the type who had some really good luck with predicting things like fights or who would win in a game, it kind of became a think between her and Abby to bet weather Molly would be right, most of the time she was. "Hey, Eva has Jamale come back yet" Lily asked as she took a sip of water that Molly had given her, Jamale was my white main coon cat "No actually, it's weird he's left the house before but only for a few hours, it's been four days" I said as i grabbed a turkey sandwich from the pile, that was next to the bowl of chips "I, don't think he's coming back anytime soon" i said as i took a bite "don't say that I'm sure she probably just…...got a girlfriend and is now raising a family" Lily said with a nervous smile, Lily has always been the type to try and look on the positive side of things or tries to make good or happy explanations for why things happen, like when my dad left, Molly was similar but more about things like sports and games "Thanks Lily but she's not the biggest fan of other cats" I said Lily smiled nervously.
Abby soon broke the small amount of silence between us "welp, that's enough of cats mysteries, anyways Molly you ready for Monday's game, against Axe deem high school" she said as she grinded at Molly, Molly smiled and bounced slightly as her mid length curly hair, bounced with her "Hell yeah, were goanna kick their asses'' Molly said with enthusiasm "You better me and Lily bet good money on you two" I said jokingly as Lily rolled her eyes amusingly at me, as Molly and Abby giggled "hey, Lily why haven't you seen Alex lately?" I asked, since i don't normally see them separated for too long "Oh his parents got mad at him for getting a D on his past three physics test, so his dad made him study at home for a week, no parties no basketball and f course no hanging out with friends or me" Lily said as she finished her water and threw away the cup. I nodded and took the last bite of my sandwich I looked at the time and saw that it was 11:00pm "I should head out, my mom should be back from work soon" I said getting up to leave "You sure you don't want me to drive you back" Abby asked as she put down her drink "No its fine, I want to walk anyways" I said un-tying my dark green 'Rado maniacs' jacket from my hips and slipped it on "I'll walk with you than, my parents are coming back in the morning anyways, I don't want to accidentally fall asleep here" Lily said as she got up from her seat, we both waved goodbye to Abby and Molly and left.
The night sky was pitch black, the moon wasn't even out, the only light being the lamp posts illuminating the sidewalk, while most house lights were turned off, Me and Lily mostly walked in silence, Lily didn't like it when it was completely quiet with people, but with me she was perfectly fine having silence between us, and I didn't mind it either, we were comfortable with each other, even when there wasn't any talking or interaction, soon we were only one block away from Lily's house, passing by the cemetery, "Hey, imagine, your grandma comes out and sees your outfit" I said jokingly, Lily laughed and elbowed me as we continued walking "Very funny Eva my grandmas not even dead" Lily said "I know but still would be fun to see her nag you" I said smiling at her as she just rolled her eyes at my antics, before we knew it we were in front of Lily's house "Get home safe Eva, See you on Monday" Lily said after she hugged me and walked up to her porch, I left after watching her go inside.
Now there wasn't any silence just the sounds of crows squawking, as i walked towards the direction of my house i passed by some of the town stores, like 'Adam and Eve's bakery', 'Games for Days' and of course the only barbeque place in town 'Mr. Bacon's, BBQ and Fries', Me and my dad used to go to Mr. Bacons place whenever he had a successful work week, we'd eat so much we'd be bloated for the next three days, I smiled, a bit i passed it was one of the old wood trailers that bicycle riders would use to ride before it was marked off due to some disappearances, but then again what town does not have some weird spooky shit going on, whether it be murders, disappearances, heck even just small urban legends meant to keep kids and teenagers from trespassing.
I kept walking for about 15 more minutes before i reached my house, a cream colored, two story, opened floor planed, brick house, with a bunch or green/yellow colored bushes and some small yellow daises spread around, the first story was technically the basement, were the living room was occupied, the upstairs was occupied by the kitchen one master bedroom and two smaller rooms, one of them being mine and the other belonging to my grandpa who moved in with us after he broke his knee four years ago, I never met my grandmother due the fact that she died when my mom was only 4 four, so my mom didn't remember her either, my grandpa or afi as I was told to call him, was a retired army veteran in his early 70's, he mostly had gray hair but had some bits of black hair, tan skin and dark brown eyes, even tho he was old he was still a pretty active man, he used to take me shooting from the age of six all the way until I was 15, plus he wasn't weak he still did his best to work out and most of the time was at the bar talking to the locals, but he would never drink or even take a sip or beer, he said that alcohol weakens the mind and that it's better to be aware of your surroundings just in case, he's basically the reason why i almost never get drunk.
I walked up to my front porch and took out my house key, trying my best not to make any noise knowing that my afi wasn't a deep sleeper, I slowly opened the door but soon stopped once it made a creaking noise, I looked and listened around from the entrance for any sign of him being awake, luckily all I saw was his bedroom door slightly open and heard the small sounds of his snoring.
I sighed as I slowly walked in closing the door slowly and quietly, I hung my jacket up on the coat hangers and quietly tiptoed to my room, I slowly closed my white door and slowly layed down on my bed feeling a bit too lazy to change out of my outfit, I looked up at my ceiling as my room was illuminated by soft green color form my LED lights, as I started to close my eyes I heard something hit my window, I sat up on my elbows and looked at the window which was on the other side of my room, which had a good view of the forest that was behind my house, three rocks in a row hit my window.
I raised my eyebrow as i got up and walked over to my window, as I looked out I couldn't see anyone or anything, I squinted trying to see if I could make out what throwing rocks at my window, it took a minute but I finally saw something, a bit in the distance I saw someone; I couldn't tell if they were an adult, a teenager, a girl or a boy, all I could make out was the fact that the person was wearing jeans and a jacket with the hood up covering their hair, not like I could see it anyways due to how dark it was, before I could unlock my window and open it, to yell at the person to leave, they slowly walked into the woods as if nothing happened, I stood their confused and a bit disturbed.
I quickly grabbed a knife from under my bean back and from under my bed and put it under my pillow just in case there's any Scoody Doomy Doom shit, I looked at the window one more time and slowly laid back onto my bed, after about maybe 22 minutes i finally fell asleep, with both knives under my pillow.
I slowly woke up, almost forgetting about the two knives under my pillow, I felt sluggish getting up from my bed I could hear the talking coming from outside my room, I slowly got up not even bothering to look in the mirror besides its most likely just my mom and afi, I opened my door seeing my mom cooking breakfast, her long blonde hair up in a ponytail, she was wearing a white tank top, a pair or knee length jeans, my afi was sitting at the table reading the newspaper, his face was as bored as ever, he was wearing a gray button up shirt and black slacks.
"Morning Line, how'd you sleep" my mom said as she turned to face me for a second, as I saw her light brown eyes ``I'm sleepy well mom, but i didn't feel like changing when I went to sleep" I said knowing shed buy it "How many times is that now 12?" Mom questioned with a snicker, "More like 16 times," afi said, taking a glance at me with a look that said, 'I know what you did'.
I gulped slightly knowing I might get lectured by him once mom leaves for work.
I sat down next to afi as mom, handed me a plate of eggs and potatoes for me and hashbrown, potatoes and eggs "I have to head to work now, Love you dad and Line make sure to check to basement for any raccoons, the neighbor told me he saw some rummaging around our house last night" mom said as she kissed both of us and walked out the door, grabbing her bag before closing the door behind her.
Not even two minutes later afi spoke up "if you're going to sneak out to a party at least try sneaking around better" he said not even putting down his newspaper town as he took a bit of his eggs "sorry, I didn't drink any alcohol if you were wondering" I said as I took a bit of my own breakfast "I wouldn't think that, I know you're not the type to make dumb decisions, also you don't have to apologize, I understand that sneaking out, going to parties and all that other crap is a part of being a teenager, but just remember our deal, you can go to parties as long as you keep up your grads and get me those weird superstition books from the book store near your school" he said giving me a small smile as he continued to eat his breakfast..
I chuckled at him and nodded as i continued eating my own, I soon finished my food and placed my dish in the sink, as i went to the bathroom to shower, as the nice cold water hit my skin I sighed thinking about last night 'the heck was with the dude, why would they just stand outside my window a few feet away, throw rocks at it and just leave, without trying or saying anything, probably some wannabe creep, serial killer' I though as i started to shampoo my hair with the coconut shampoo that I've used for like four years.
'Well now I've got something interesting to tell the others except for maybe the possibility of having another racoon in my basement' I thought as I finished up my shower.
I got changed into a dark blue 'Indigo Riot' tank top sponge with some jean shorts, I brushed my teeth and soon brushed my dark brown hair into a high ponytail similar to my mom's.
