"Yes, what do you want, baby?" Axel accompanied his girlfriend on a shopping spree. Miranda smiled at Axel and leaned her head on his arm coquettishly.
For Axel, Miranda was the perfect girlfriend. Sexy, smart, feminine, elegant, beautiful, and graceful. Miranda stood at 5'11 and her body had all the right curves; slim waist and wide hips.
Her legs went on for miles, flawless. Black hair framed her face like a waterfall, and her luscious lips were vibrant red. Gracefulness outlined her body and movements; she moved like a ballet dancer jumping on air.
To describe her as feminine would be an understatement. Miranda was an expert in the wiles of women, hooking Axel successfully using her beauty and brains.
A womanizer like Axel found her match in a woman like Miranda. She captured him in the palm of her hands and played him the way she wanted.
Axel gazed at his beautiful girlfriend as she chose from the clothes the salesladies handed to her. Then Louise' face flashed in his head. Miranda and Louise are worlds apart.
Recalling Louise, Axel frowned. The woman only called him when she needed something or when trouble came knocking at her door. He smiled, shaking his head. Because of their unusual friendship, they have developed something unexplainable.
Where is she right now? Louise should be out of the country.
"Axel? Axel?" His attention returned to the present when Miranda pinched his arm. "I've been calling you. Why are you not listening?"
Miranda pouted. "Did you think of another woman?" she jokingly asked, but the sharpness in her voice betrayed her real feelings.
Sadly, Axel concentrated on her face, and he failed to hear the knife in her tone. If he did, he would stay far from her. He hated women that clung to him like leeches.
He liked Miranda for her beauty, but what he liked the most about her was her attitude. She wouldn't cling to him, and would only rarely show jealousy and whine about it.
Miranda glanced around. The salesladies left, as they didn't want to intrude on the lover's private time. She smiled, and whispered in his ear, "I want you, baby."
Axel's eyes glinted with desire, and he said, "You know I'll give you anything you want…"
A sharp look entered Miranda's eyes. "Really? Introduce me to your parents, then."
Miranda embraced his waist and placed her face on his chest.
Axel frowned. "What's the hurry, babe? There's no need for it. You're perfect for me. No one can say a thing about it."
"Someone will, after all, you have a fiancé." Sadness filled Miranda's voice, and the guilt ate at Alex. She was the best girlfriend, but bringing her to his parents wasn't possible.
Grabbing her hands, Alex coaxed, "I promise you. How about… we buy jewelries to go along with your clothes? Let's buy anything you want."
She pouted again and crossed her arms. "Do you think money can appease me all the time?"
"I'll buy you a new car," Alex tempted her. Miranda liked cars. Her eyes lit up, but she hesitated.
"I...I... okay! But you have to promise me. You're going to buy me a car." Miranda made him promise.
Axel nodded. "Of course. Now… give me that kiss..."
Axel softly nibbled on her lips, biting her plump lower lips between his teeth. Miranda clung to his neck, deepening the kiss when suddenly Alex's phone rings.
He ignored it, but it rang again for the second time… third… and fourth. Left with no choice, he picked it up.
"What now?" Alex asked, grumpy. The person interrupted his good time.
"Hello…" Louise' voice reached his ears, and he stopped for a moment. He checked the number again, it was unfamiliar.
Axel walked away, leaving Miranda staring at his phone with anger.
"Hey," Axel said. "What's up?"
His irritation multiplied, a vein on his forehead ticked. . Louise really knows when to interrupt me!
"I...Hi, Axel. Uh...you see...I have a problem." Her voice shook.
When did she ever call me without a problem? Axel shook his head, disappointed. She would never change.
Closing his eyes, Axel pinched his forehead.
"I kinda get that. Every time you come home, you always bring me trouble. What is it this time?" Axel questioned, his tone harsh.
"You see-"
"Get to the point," he snapped. The more Axel listened to Louise, the guiltier he felt toward Miranda. .
"I'm in jail. Axel, help me! Bail me out, please?!"
"Bail you— motherf—" he stopped himself from cursing. "What the hell did you do!? Are you crazy?!"
My morning had gone from bad to worse.
"I beat up a senator's son, and they're pressing for charges. I can't afford to be involved in this, Axel. I have a championship to go to." Louise' voice cracked.
Going to jail was bad news. The championship was almost here, and a bad rep wouldn't make it.
"Are you in the city jail?" Axel reigned in anger, even though he wanted to shout at her.
"Yes. I've been here the whole night, and I borrowed the phone from a policewoman. They confiscated my things."
"Okay." Axel hung up. When he turned around, Miranda stood behind him.
"Was that your fiancé?" Miranda asked.
"What? Uh... well, yes," Axel replied, absent-minded. "I'm sorry, babe. I need to leave. I have to help her. I promise we're buying a car tomorrow."
Axel kissed her on the lips and rushed outside. Miranda looked at him with a crazed obsession. Her face contorted with insanity.
"You're mine."

Alex ran to the front desk as soon as he arrived. He didn't bother to look at the place full of people coming in and out. A man in a black suit followed him.
"Where is Louise Archer?" he asked.
"Louise Archer?" The police acted nonchalant. "She's here but not accepting visitors."
"I'm her lawyer," the lawyer interrupted. The officer didn't even bother to look at them. Frowning, Alex slammed his hand on the table.
The officer glared at him. "This is the police station."
"And you're ignoring me, officer!"
"I'm sorry, but we're not accepting bail for her. She's being pressed for grave charges, and her case is being reviewed," the police answered, his eyes full of warning.
"What grave charges? Who's involved in this? The senator?" Alex snapped."Tell me who it is?"
Alex's angry voice caught the attention of the others.
"Sir, please refrain from causing a commotion here or else, we're going to place you behind bars," the police said in an authoritative voice.
"Sir, we need to-" Raising his hand, Alex stopped his lawyer from talking. Then, he fished out his ID from his wallet and placed it in front of the officer. I gesture for my lawyer to shut up. I grabbed my ID from my bag and places it in front of the officer.
"Surely, this will be enough to make bail for her?"
The officer glared at my ID before he took a peck, and he paled.
"I'm Axel Rossi, Sen. Rossi's only son. He's the head of the senate, and my grandfather is the retired general Rossi."
To the officer's ears, it sounded like: I can erase you from the face of this city. You'll never find work in this field again.
Using my family's power was easier since my influence wasn't in this field.
"Sir...I'm gonna go and see the head." The officer scrambled to hurry. Alex tapped his finger on the desk.
"I can't wait!" Alex walked in, even though the other officers tried to stop him. They weren't forceful since they heard his words earlier.
Checking the cells, Alex found Louise at the last one near the corner. She hugged her body close while lying in the corner of the cell, sleeping.
Can she still sleep in this kind of place? Axel shook his head.
Axel turned around when he heard hurried footsteps. The head stood behind him, smiling apologetically.
He said in an icy voice, "Open it."
An officer opened the cell, and Alex walked in. He touched her shoulders, shaking it.
"Louise... Louise."
Louise opened her eyes, stared at him, then smiled. "I knew you'd come."
Then she jumped into his arms without hesitation. Alex stiffened, then he tapped her back.
It seemed she lost weight. Alex sighed. I'll let that senator pay, and this police station for being biased.
"Let's go home."
