Once upon a time, there was a kingdom. It was beautiful, without pain and war. It was a place of peace. This kingdom was called Heaven. No matter what happened, this kingdom still exists. The king that ruled, His name is God. He is the king of all kings.
Everything you see, touch and hear was created by Him. His creation includes the beginning of time, the earth as you know it and all the animals to walk on earth. But God wanted someone to take care of His creation. So, He created the first man. And his name was Adam.
God created everything. And on the seventh day, He rested. His creation was made with love and it was good. This is the story we're all familiar with. The story you don't know is this one. The time of the Great Fall From Heaven.
A long time ago, there was peace in this kingdom. God was praised by his angels. Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Saraqael, Raguel and Remiel. Each one of these angels had their own duties. God loved all His angels, especially an angel called Lucifer.
Lucifer was good and beautiful. It did not last. One third of the angels in Heaven, joined Lucifer in a revolt against God. Lucifer wanted to be God. Lucifer's pride got in the way of seeing things clearly.
And so, Heaven tore open and Lucifer and the angels that chose him, fell from Heaven. But in the Fall From Heaven, one angel fell by accident. She was loyal and loved her Creator with her very being. She praised Him. And since the Fall, she's been struggling to get back Home.
This angel was named Dara.
The time of the Fall From Heaven...
"How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the North. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'" And with that, God opened the gates of His kingdom of glory and the angels fell.
"You were in Eden, the garden of God. I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian. You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire."You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you... and you sinned. So I banished you in disgrace from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian, from your place among the stones of fire. Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor. So I threw you to the ground."
Somewhere in the middle of nowhere...
Aram was strolling along the beach on his way home. He would go out onto sea and fish for his community for dinner. As he walked, he saw something and decided to go to it. The closer he got, the more he saw a figure. The figure of a girl.
He ran to her to help her. Her head had a cut wound and her wing broke from the fall. He stroke her cheek to wake her without frightening her.
She opened her eyes and saw a man. When she looked around, she realized that she was no longer Home. But on earth.
"Who are you?" Aram asked.
She looked pale and got up to fly away. She fell down from the pain and saw her wing broke.
"My name is Dara. Who are you?" she spoke. Everything about her was beautiful.
"My name is Aram. I'm not going to hurt you," he said with his voice calm and soft. She began to cry and felt the tear rolling down her cheek. Aram brushed away her tear softly with his thumb. "What is this?" she asked.
"It's a tear. It has different meanings. Sometimes it means joy, other times pain and anger. You're in pain, Dara. Come with me, I'll help you. You don't need to be afraid of me," he said and stood up holding out his hand.
"It's going to get cold soon and I guess you must be hungry."
She tilted her head in confusion. "Hungry? What's that?" she asked. Angels never had to sleep or eat. The energy they got, was from their Creator. That's all they ever needed.
"Come. I'll show you." He still held out his hand. Hesitantly, she took his hand and he helped her up. Her touch made him fall. She was perfect. Everything about her was perfect. Her blond hair and her blue eyes. But the moment she stood, she fell again. Aram picked her up in his arms and carried her home, making sure not to hurt her wings.
"Who is that?" Aram's mother, Ava, asked. "Her name is Dara. I found her on the beach. She's hurt. I'm taking her to my bed to rest."
Ava smiled proudly at her son and nodded. It was only the two of them and they took care of each other. Aram placed her softly on his bed and grabbed a piece of cloth and dipped it in lukewarm water. He was afraid to burn her or make her feel cold, and started to clean her wound.
As she slept, he watched her. He never left her side. He was afraid that something might happen to her if he did. "Is she still sleeping?" Ava asked in a whisper.
"Yes, Mother. I've never seen someone so beautiful. I have this feeling to protect her. No matter what. Something is telling me to take care of her." Ava left the room before giving Aram a quick kiss on the cheek. "Good night, my boy."
"Good night, Mother. Sleep well." He watched as his mother left and immediately gave his full attention to Dara.
