After coming downstairs to the kitchen, I saw my mom and dad in the kitchen so I spoke with them on what I thought.
"Mom, Dad, I was thinking of learning how to Cook. Recently I watched a few recipes on the internet and I thought to practice my cooking skills. You know I am already 18 years old this year, and if I have a girlfriend and wife in few years, I should at least have some basic home skills such as cooking, washing clothes, and looking after the house with my beloved", I said to my parents.
" Son, have you found a girl already so that you have started thinking all of this suddenly", asked my mom.
"No, I haven't found anyone yet, but it never hurts to learn these things, who knows maybe I will fall in love with someone and I will have to impress that someone with my cooking. Like how dad usually helps you with cooking mom, it shows how much he loves you to take care of the house together with you, unlike some grumpy husbands who usually scolds their wife on everything and often only view them as weak housemaids who should stay home, cook good food and look after the children. I don't want to become that type of person", I said to them.
" Oh look honey our son has grown up to be a great man", said my dad to my mom.
" So what do you have in mind son, you said that you felt like eating chilli chicken, fried fish and vegetable soup for dinner, do you have any plans on how you want to help us", asked my mom.
" I was thinking that I will make chilli chicken, mom you can make vegetable soup and rice and dad can fry the fish. And while we are on it dad can supervise me as I cut, clean and prepare chicken, and mom can supervise me as I prepare other ingredients and you guys can correct my mistakes if you see any. I Recently learned how to prepare chilli chicken on the internet from raw materials to the final dish.", I said to my parents.
"Well then let's get started", said my parents to me.
So I started cooking now, first thing I did was took up a chicken and placed it on the chopping board, after that I took a sharp edged chefs knife and handled it skillfully, spread the chicken and sliced it open from the centre to open it up. Then I carefully cut apart the chicken breasts, thighs and the remaining meat content from inside. I made sure that the chicken skin, bones and internals were not on the pieces of meat I cut off.
I did the same thing with another chicken and after the meat pieces were separated I carefully washed them in cold water and flour mixture to remove the smell from the meat. After properly washing, I chopped up the meat into pieces with around 60 small pieces in total.
After doing all that I prepared a fry pan and heated oil in it up to 70 degrees and placed 20 pieces of chicken meat at a time. I had to fry cook chicken meat at around 80% as the remaining can be cooked into making chilli chicken.
So while the chicken was frying, I cleaned up the chopping board and prepared other ingredients, I took 2 onions and peeled the outer skin off, after that I used another chopping knife to cut slice the onion into thin long strips of around 35mm to 50mm long and 3mm wide. After slicing the onion I took 3 carrots and cleaned the outer later of it with a knife, washed it and chopped it up into similar length as onion, around 35mm to 50mm long and 3mm wide. I regularly checked on the chicken that was being fried, after taking off the first round, I put in the seconds set of 20 chickens to fry.
This time I took 5 whole tomatoes and peeled its skin off, washed it and chopped each of it into 4 parts. After which I placed it into the blender, added some salt, sugar and finally placed in 10 long red chilli's around 50 to 70 mm in length to be blended together. I started the blender and by the time I was done my second set of chickens were fried. I placed the third set of chickens in and stopped the blender.
After doing all that, I took up a small bowl and added around 300 milliliters of cold water in it, placed in two tablespoons of corn flour and stir mixed it well. I took up the vinegar bottle and a dark soy sauce bottle and placed it together with other ingredients. After my chickens were all fried I had everything ready to make chilli chicken.
I took up a one handled long wok, placed it in the high fire, placed in one table spoon of oil and one table spoon of butter and waited till the butter melted. After that I added in two tablespoons of garlic, ginger and chilli paste in the heated oil and stirred it lightly for a few seconds then added the sliced onion and stirred it for a couple of seconds. As soon as I felt the time was right I added the chopped carrot and stirred it once again.
After a couple of seconds when I felt the right time added the tomato sauce that I had just blended in with raw tomatoes and chillies together, this time I adjusted the heat to medium from high and stirred it continuously for one minute. As soon as I felt one minute was over I added soy sauce and mixed in for 10 seconds, then added vinegar and stirred in for another 10 seconds after which I added the fried chickens and put up the temperature from medium to high once again. After continuously stirring it for 30 seconds I added some champagne and lit the inside wok on fire for 5 seconds, finally I added the water and corn mixture that was on the side and cooked for another 30 seconds before turning off the stove. My chilli chicken dish was ready to serve, it had dark brown color with thick gravy.
I tasted it a bit and it was so delicious that I couldn't even begun to fathom the deliciousness of it. I noticed my parents watching me from the sidelines so I offered some to them.
"Mom, Dad, have a taste, how do you feel it is. Is it OK or is anything missing", I asked them.
After they tasted it, first they exclaimed in surprise how could it taste so delicious, then they were both shocked and finally a multitude of questions came.
" Son, how can you cook so delicious on your first time, is it really your first time or did you secretly practice to give us a surprise", asked mom
"Yeah how can it be so delicious, its like the dish made from the top chefs on earth, I don't know it may be more delicious as I have never tasted anything so good", said dad.
" Well this is my first time cooking, I just once saw it on the internet and made some adjustments according to my taste", I told my parents.
"OK enough of that, let's get ready for dinner, the vegetable soup is almost done", said mom.
During dinner both my parents ate two servings of chilli chicken, drank very little vegetable soup and only ate 2 or 3 pieces of fried fish. Around 40 pieces of fried fish and 2 servings worth of vegetable soup was left, as for chilli chicken, it was all gone, I ate the most 3 servings and only ate 1 fried fish with a quarter bowl of vegetable soup. We had to fridge the rest after cooling for next mornings breakfast.
Today was the day when my family ate to the fullest after a long time at dinner. Usually we eat only 80 to 90% full but today we were 200% full with round stomachs. My mom even teased me during dinner that if I cook such delicious food for them, all the girls on earth will be willing to be with me.
I had a tiring day today so one hour after dinner I went to bed.

THE COOKING METHOD WAS MADE UP, I SAW IT ON YOUTUBE ONCE, FORGOT SITE NAME, IT WAS JUST RANDOM ENCOUNTER, BUT AS I RECALLED A FEW THINGS, I JUST DID A BRIEF SEARCH AND MADE MY OWN VERSION. SO THE RECEIPE AND COOKING METHOD IS NOT GENUINELY ACCURATE....
