Franchette's POV
I was just an audience of the scene unfolding in front of me. As Alice chose to be with Chealsea, I could see the happiness on my friend's face. Finally my friend has her chance at true love. While I on the other hand had completely lost my connection with Xedjedy.
I somehow felt alone. I miss him. I felt like I lost him all over again. I hugged myself as I felt that cold deep within me. 'Xedjedy.' I called out to our link but I couldn't even feel him stir any more. It was as if I was totally blocked from him. And It was killing me on the inside.
As the council meeting progressed. They agreed to strategically place shields on all the shelters of our country. The Tiktik family of the Aswang clan could shapeshift any animals they wanted. They could easily fly undetected into the shelters. The plan would commence tomorrow night. If everything would go according to plan.
