Not in a million years have I imagined that the monsters I've read and studied about in my books would be a reality. I was so fascinated by our lost cultural past because of the colonization of Spain, Japan, and America. It led me to take Philippine literature and history in college as my minor. My mother said it was a waste of time, but I could choose my minors so I took it.
Part of me was still in denial about the fact that Alice was the one I was tracking all these time. She was a tikbalang. There was a theory that Tikbalang were all males. Because they typically kidnap, rape and impregnate human female to reproduce. And in the community Alice was the only one that was holding the position of an alpha female.
