The problem that would jeopardize their plans would be the same people who attacked him before as he knew where there was one rat. There were hordes of them lurking around obedient dogs that betray their people to survive and just to please their so-called masters.
I would want to run and tell everyone that we're moving somewhere better but because of them, he doesn't know how long it would take to try to find them as even if they use the talent orb they know it won't matter as everyone here doesn't have talent and the only way I could even see locating all of them is based on if they have mana in them.
Since they don't want to be discovered as spies the collars would have to be thrown away but you could imagine that they would most likely escape that was when we discovered something when we tried to interrogate one of them that they all had a mark at the back of their necks.
That would be the way to control them but if that was it would be too simple as when we were interrogating a male traitor he was babbling on and on about useless things to try and divert us but when we used very unique methods he was singing like a CaKook but just when we were going to gain information sparks came from the mark and caused the man to die when the lines appeared on his body and that's where the sparks went.
And it's not like we had known this but since they did this means that they implanted mana into them which could be detected if we had a mana indicator and with that we would no longer be blind as those mana indicators could detect mana in the body and what's one of the features we have is that we're devoid of mana which would help separate the two of us.
Sadly those things are rare even older ones are rare to find the newer ones are in those villages, cities, and towns owned by the empire and us entering there is impossible because as soon as we're in we would be exposed sooner or later by the talent orbs. So the situation seemed hopeless as he didn't know what to make of the situation of migrating here so it might take a few days or weeks if not months to clean up this horde and the next thing is who's to say that more won't be coming to us expanding the horde until one day they find us.
So we need to eliminate them in one fell to not swoop as to not fall into disarray or harm any one of my citizens but the thing is the indicator would need to be old as no one remembers the old ones and we would not alert them. It was indeed a type of problem so he would have to do this before he could make it known to others so old man Ivan then explained to Karisa and her group saying.
" I agree to the proposal but because of the incident with me, I know that they are traitors mixed among us so for us to leave I need to remove these leeches or they will grow to become a problem in your plan so I apologize that I can't leave with everyone now" Hearing this the entire group and Karisa's happy expression tuned solemn feeling that they failed their mission.
And seeing their faces, old man Ivan was solemn as well because he knew the reason they were here was to ask to help the little god to advance faster to build an empire safe for all of them but now because this problem will cause setbacks. You could see the old man was very angry but calmed himself and sighed out loud saying " If only I had one of those mana indicators if so I could route them out in two days then set off" He released another sigh again looking down in the dumps.
But Karisa at that moment was sure that she had heard him say mana indicator meaning that old man Ivan needs it to find them but the thing is it only responds to living things with mana within them and people like us don't have such a thing. So hearing this Karisa was very happy and then said " You said you needed a mana indicator right, I have one"
Ivan hearing this was shocked as in this day and age having a mana indicator is difficult especially when its owned by people like us who have no mana to speak of so old man Ivan got up from the chair and rushed towards Karisa putting everyone in fright and then immediately grabbed her arms causing Seras and Ranr to almost act until Ivan said.
"Where is if you had it on you why didn't you tell me do you know that I thought that we had to work for months to find all of those traitors " Old man Ivan shook her while he said that with an overexcited expression on his face and hearing this Seras and Ranr eased as they watch as how old man Ivan shook Karisa silly and hearing the question Karisa answered which was kind of shaky due to Ivan still shaking her saying "Youuuuu didn't askkkk, sooo pleassseee stoop shhhaking meeee" Ivan hearing this stopped shaking Karisa which allowed her to gain her bearing as she was quite dizzy being shaken around like a rattle.
Karisa then asked one of the volunteers with the sack on their backs to hand her the mana indicator to which the volunteer walked up and gave her to which she gave to old man Ivan.
When he got it he immediately did not recognize it but finally understood that this was a way older generational model of the mana indicator and if even he could recognize it even the rats wouldn't either.
He was very happy to avoid months of work which could be done in a day or two with ease and could finally do what he said he would do for Karisa and maybe he would be living a better life and can relax. Maybe he could even see his grandkids one day. Old man Ivan was imagining many things in his head at this moment and finally returned to reality.
Ivan then said "With this, we can find them in a day or two and we can leave by then " Karisa hearing that it would take a day or two at most was happy as it was within the time requirements set by her lord you could imagine that he must have thought of it our lord is amazing.
At that moment Karisa thought that Nile sneezed while he was putting on the tracks nearly causing the entire thing to fall off. Ron came up and asked " Are you catching a cold my lord you must be careful nowadays" Nile just responded saying " Don't worry it's just a little sneeze" Nile was then wondering how could he sneeze when his immune system is beyond getting sick the only thought coming to mind is either there is some kind of god flue or someones thinking of me well doesn't matter. With that Nile just went back to work with the others.
Back to Karisa and the group old man Ivan told them the plan he had saying that " Since they want to leave the underground settlement then I let them leave peacefully with smiles on their faces" With him saying that he told them that he would tell them that they are relocating to a new settlement and they needed to line up near the passageway and use Talent orb to test them every one if there aren't any spies hidden among them.
Then they would place the mana indicator on the table near the entrance of the passageway and tell them to touch it and move along and then when the guard at the bottom shouts for those at the top in A certain way they would immediately eliminate them at the top in the ruins.
This plan sounds feasible to them because normal people have no worries about this but what about those rat-like bastards even if they think something is up if they make any sudden moves or show irrational or tense behavior that would indicate to them that they are spies?
Karisa and the group agreed with the plan that even Seras and Ranr proposed to help the guards at the top deal with the situation and then after 30 minutes of refixing some holes in the plan and adding some of their ideas into it, the plan became more and more perfect towards catching the rats.
With getting the go-ahead, old man Ivan now needed to initiate the plan by telling the guards their plan and discussing it with them.
