After talking with Raz until late yesterday I came home and slept. When I woke up it was already morning.

Today I was going to sell the dagger, but first, I came to Mr Esberg shop to have my lessons and after I came back home I had a bath, different from earth, baths in this world are very rare, normally people would bath once in months, but since I would go the upper district I had to use my best clothes which were actually of my deceased father, they were a bit loose, but nothing too much
I went to the upper district near the palace, where the rich people and merchants live or had shops... I went on foot, It would take some hours of walk to go there, but I had the time, and had to save money.
The upper district was extremely different from the slums, the roads were large, with trees separating the two sides, the houses were clean and uniform, even the smell was different, there I could see many carriages and even two cars, but those cars were moved by steam.

I didn't choose a specific shop, I just entered the first one which I thought could buy the dagger, the first one I entered was a clothing shop so I left, but the second one had many showcases inside with jewellery and even some ornate weapons, the store was big and broad, there were some clients already, but the clothing store of before was more popular than here. I went to the balcony and after two attendants talked to each other, both came to me in the end.

"good afternoon mister, I beg your pardon, but I need to escort you to the exit." - said the first man.
"I just came to sell this dagger, I leave as soon as it has been bought" - I claimed while putting the dagger on the table, it was covered by a white cloth to hide it a bit.
"Mister, we don't buy stolen goods"
"It 'isn't stolen, it is a family heirloom, please call your boss or your manager, so I can explain everything"
They looked at each other before entering a door behind them and soon came a third man, an older man and way more fat than the attendants, he had brown hair and a big moustache.
"Good afternoon sir, I feel sorry for meeting you in such shabby clothes," I said to the man who was the owner of the store.
"This store is only for the wealthy, You should leave"
"Mister, you are misunderstanding me, I am wealthy, or at least was, I was the grandson of a rich merchant in another country, but when my incompetent father inherited the store he almost brought our family to bankruptcy, he just wasn't made to be a businessman, he led our store to collapse and after spending almost all of our family money he killed himself, and I inherited everything he didn't spend or sold, but we, me and my mother, still had a lot of debt's with some shady people there, so we sold anything we could, even our clothes, just to buy a train ticket to this country, and brought those items here in order to remake our lives, I would be glad if you could buy some items I brought to this country"
The secret of a good lie is putting elements of truth on it. I was Rich in my past life, and my father wasn't born to be a businessman, he was just a construction worker, which killed himself after spending almost all of our money. And by putting some other elements that corroborate with what was spoken I could create a bit more trust in the other part, such as speaking politely like a merchant or explaining in my lie some motive for my actual appearance.
"Hmm, I see, I heard cases of people leading their stores to failure, never thought would meet a victim of such thing, you do have the manners of a merchant, those incompetent don't have the brains to spot the difference between someone who has money or hadn't, they said you were trying to sell something, which is it?"

I uncovered the dagger from the cloth
"It's an adorned dagger with gold and silver, just the gold and silver could fetch a good price, but you could sell it as a piece of art"
"Hmm, interesting, the cable was made by an excellent goldsmith, I would love to meet him" he said and took the dagger to give it a closer inspection, he scratched the golden surface, he took a tool to separate the handle of the blade, and weighed both in a weighing-machine and made some calculus on a paper.
"Why are the inscriptions in the dagger written in Krushen, and you are very fluent, you said you were from another country?" he asked, suspecting something.
"My mother is originally from Kraven, she left the city when she met my father, she was the one who taught me her native language when I was a child, and that dagger was a present for her from my father. When my grandpa died he ordered from the best goldsmith he had a contact to make the most beautiful adorned dagger he has ever seen, with the name of our store and motto, in my mother's language. He was an idiot, my mother not even liked weapons, he would impose his tastes in others, and those extravagances were the things who led us to bankruptcy."
"I see, from where are you from? you still didn't tell me." he asked still suspecting something"
I only know the name of Mr Esberg's country, it will suffice
"Grossel"
"And where is your mother?"
"She is with our family, my uncle still lives here and he is letting us stay in his place, and she has so much to tell to her family, I kept her there and came to negotiate with you."
"Hmm, how much do you want for it?"

"What I want is one million kales or a towel, but that is not going to happen"
"A towel?" he asked not understanding
"You see? If even you don't care for the one million Kales someone may accept my offer" I joked
I didn't find that hilarious but made the man laugh out loud, and his workers also laughed a bit.
"That's a good one, I will tell others"
"Let's negotiate, I need the most of the money I can get my hands on, how much would you pay for it?"
"Hmm, twenty thousand, " he said after thinking for a while
"Twenty-five thousand" I counter-proposed
"Twenty-three thousand"
"can't you elevate a bit more,
"twenty-three thousand and five hundred, It's all I can offer to you" he finished.
"deal".
The man went to take the money and got back shortly
"By the way, what's your name?"
"Levi" I said as the first name that came to my mind.
I went home with all the money, hiding inside my clothes in the event I got robbed, when I got home I hide the most of the money for safety, I took just one note of one hundred kales, one kale is less valuable than a dollar apparently, in a ratio of one dollar to two kales, but the cost of living was low.
At night I went to a bar near home, it was crowded with people who finished working and unemployed people, and a big group was arguing about their work, apparently one of their coworkers had to go to a church because of a very grave work injury,

"The friend of yours will die!" I said entering the talk, almost all of them understood my words, but one became angry because of it.
"Say it again!" said one of the angry men, pushing his friends to stay in front of me, trying to intimidate me.
"Sorry but is the truth, and by the look on the face of your friends... they understand it too"
"Guys, Alov will be alright, he was taken to the church. Soon a healer will come and heal him. this asshole know nothing"
"My brother has died waiting for a healer who never came," I said in a high tone
Silence.
"The people above us don't care if we die or not, if it was your boss who gets injured don't you agree that help would arrive immediately?"
More silence, but some people nodded.
"My brother lost his limbs because of machinery when we were children, I was allowed to bring him to a church for just one hour then I had to go back to work, he died, and we weren't even paid for all the time he worked in the month, do you think it is fair?" I spoke Loudly to everyone in the bar to hear.
Silence again.
"Why, why we kept things like this? Surely I am not the only one here who lost someone dear while working, I don't know what is worse to lose someone or knowing that is a common occurrence."
Some people nodded to my statement but kept just hearing.
"you there in the corner, the man without an arm, how did you lose it?" I said to a man without an arm.
"Iโฆ It was cut down by... a textile machine."
"And what happened to you?"
"I was fired, and didn't get any money for the month I've worked, I can't find jobs anymore, and my wife and children are working instead of me."

"Do you think it's fair?"
"No, It isn't."
"Why we allow being treated like this?"
"because we need money" said a man in the back.
"Exactly, you are right, we need moneyโฆ to buy food, drinks, and clothes, we are allowed to survive, but is there someone here who was ever had sufficient money to travel to another city? to move to another country, to buy a crop of land and become a farmer, to gather enough money and become a merchant?
No one said anything.
"We are allowed, but is so difficult to achieve such things that it is, basically, forbidden. In other words, we are not allowed, not allowed, to move, to leave, to stop working, to succeed in life, we, my friends, are slaves.
"We aren't slaves! We aren't chained or whipped to work. Slavery ended a long time ago!" said a woman this time.
"And still we are here, they don't need whips and chains to keep slaves anymore, our desire to live is their whips which keep us working, and their low payments are our chains, which keep us trapped here. when was the last time you stopped work?
"Since I was hired, never" she said proudly.
"Can you quit?" I asked her
"Of course not, I won't find any other good job, and in the worst case I will have to sell my body."
"You never stopped working, and can't stop working, seems to me like you are a slave"
"Argh" she tried to answer but couldn't think of anything.
"I question you again! Why do we allow to be treated like slaves?"
Silence again
"Yes, because of this, because we reluctantly try to be in silence, we are afraid of the consequences of our actions and try to keep as it is, in hope that it will get eventually better, I tell you without action there is no change, nothing will ever change, you will die, and your children will suffer as much as you do if you not fight for change, do you want your children to suffer like this?"
"No", "of course not", "never" and other things could be said by the crowd who now were hearing mindfully.
"Do you know why the owner of the factories, are becoming richer and richer, while we struggle to survive? them, the bourgeoisie, who controls the machinery, give us, the proletariat, wages to operate those means of productions, the products we made are then sold to wealthy families, but with the low wages given to us, that keep us just barely living, add more value in the profit of the bourgeoisie. We are being exploited! The work hours we used to make any numbers of products give us just a minuscule part of the money the owner made. the money we should be getting paid is going to the bourgeoisie instead. We need change!
"Yes" "we suffered a lot" Could be heard in the now angry mob.
Let's put something religious to encourage people, many people of this country is very religious and can be the last push.
"The Godking himself is the embodiment of change, what would happen if he had not rebelled against the Evil God Markov, he fought for change, and he accomplished it. Against all odds he defeated Markov and became the Godking, now we must do the same against the injustice, against this society, against the bourgeoisie. are you with me?
"Yes", "what we should do", "I will follow you", "death to Burgusy" shouts could be heard from the people.
Then I explained to them what a total strike is. When we will do. what to do for now, How to spread the news...
๐๐/๐๐/๐๐๐ ๐ค๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ.
What moves history forward?
For Hegel, Ideas move the world, For every important action in the world, good or bad, someone had to have the idea first, Agriculture was made because someone had the idea of it, the internet was made because someone had the idea of it, the holocaust happened because someone had the idea of it...
At first sight, it appears very logical and truthful, but there is a catch, the big difference between having the idea and actually accomplishing it. Someone can have the idea of a car, but it was purely a dream if he doesn't have the tools, the time, or the money to create it. Ideas are useless without action.
Marx was the first to state that class struggle was the motor force of history, what pushed civilizations forward was the struggle between different classes, the struggle of slaves vs freemen, patricians vs plebeians, lords vs serfs, rulers vs people, proletariat vs bourgeoisie. The history of the oppressor against the oppressed, every time those classes crashed enormously changes happened in the world, civil rights appeared, governments were created, empires have fallen and arose.
But humans are way more complex for their history to be defined just by class struggle, it may have pushed society forward in many moments, but it wasn't the sole force to do it, many advances in human history didn't happen just because of class struggle, but for many other reasons, and in this world, the concept of class struggle never showed up until I've come, people were naturally subversive to the authority of the Godking, the Saint's, and factory Owners.
It's being almost three months since I had the idea of doing a Strike, this date was chosen to give me time to organize everything and it was a symbolic date, In this world religion this day many years ago was the day the Godking laid siege to the "evil god Markov", and it would eventually lead to its death.
The first few days I've just explained what a strike is, what is its purpose for trustful friends, and how they would repass it for their friends and workmates. I would often go to bars to get political about the working conditions... Too much work for little money, dangerous machines that cut limbs, or crush bones easily, inhumane work conditions, not a single day of rest.
I would irrigate their emotional side. I would often ask members of the audience if he ever lost a member of his family, what would happen if the work conditions were better, I would tell about the history of my brother Ygor, which could be related to many of them.
I would bring maimed people from the audience to ask what happened to them, what happened after they were maimed, in most cases, they were fired immediately, others could work for some days, but were fired nonetheless.
People would often cry during my speeches or would get irritated with the situation we are living in. It happened exactly as I planned, when people are emotional, they are easier to persuade and manipulate, that's not coincidental.
I would shift all their anger and hate towards the bourgeoisie and corrupted saints, I even got the nickname of "the Preacher". In the end, my ideas of a strike would get into their hearts, and I just had to tell them what to do, "following Elderberging 25th, we all gonna stop working, and pledge for the Godking to help its citizens in the central palace"
In the following days I used a bit of money of the selling of the dagger to publish a pamphlet on how to organize a strike and make a union of workers, I didn't have to do a lot of those since few people knew how to read, whenever I spoke to the masses I would distribute it for free for those who knew how to read a least a bit, I wrote in the simplest terms to be easy to understand, It made great results, I could already hear about some strikes or formation of unions happening before the total strike.
And the news of the total strike started appearing in the journal, I was even interviewed, it even reached other cities through letters and newspapers, and it was confirmed it would have similar strikes there even if on a minors scale, comparing to the capital. Factory owner and Saints declared that anyone going to the strike would be fired, but at this point, the strike couldn't be stopped.
When the day comes tens of thousands of people were on the streets in front of the palace, I included, above them in a small wooden platform encouraging people to shout, to sing, to pray, to do anything.
The palace was enormous and made in the whitest marble I've seen, the gardens outside were very green and flowery, and all were protected by big metal fence walls, with some gates.
The palace was normally guarded by the Godking's Guard, but today since there were too many people for them to handle, the army was called, they were all well armed and protecting the gates and walls of the palace. from time to time a spokesman would appear and try to appease and dissuade people to return their homes.
At night the people would sleep in their homes, and the next day the strike was still occurring, but a bit smaller than yesterday, and the same happened the next day, but it was still big enough to shake this city.
It took two entire days and some hours, but finally, it happened some soldiers came to me and would bring me inside the palace, the mob became angry, thinking I would be arrested, or dead, which could be options, but I don't think it would happen, not yet. the soldiers became more violent to stop people and were using more force, the people with me became more furious, Raz even tried to harm the soldiers holding me.
"NO, do not hit them, I will just talk with the Godking, I will be back soon". I said with a smile.
I was brought inside the palace and there I was handcuffed.
"I think this is a bit too much" I said to the guard but, he not even answered.
I walked for a few minutes, I was worried it would take too long to talk to the Godking or someone responsible, but it was in vain, soon I was taken to the Godking office, and sitten in front of him.
He looked like he was in his thirties, was wearing a military outfit, which gave him an air of strong man, he did look like could handle himself in a fight, he had brown hair and a big moustache, his eyes were deeply looking at me, as he was analyzing me
"Mikhail, do you know how many, Saints and wealthy businessmen I had to talk to those last days? " He asked me, already knowing my name.
"hmm, a lot, probably all of the saints, and all the great businessman, the smaller one wouldn't have any way to contact you" I answered
"Do you think this is a joke?" he said to me pissed off
"Do you? You took me here hoping I might be able to tell all those people to go work, I won't, and even if I told them, they would continue here until our demands comply"
"What do you want? money, powers, the title of Saint, eternal life? it would be the first time in history a commoner ascended!

"There is no slavery in Krushen! I made that for sure! The Godking stated.
"Your people work fourteen to eighteen hours a day, they began working from five to six years, they work every day without rest, they lose limbs or members of their families to the machinery and are not even compensated for their loss, we receive cents for hours of work, we can't stop working or else we would die of hunger, we need food to live, we cant follow our dreams, we can't leave the city or country because we don't have money to it! "But still I cannot give you all of what you asked for" Said the monarch.
"You surely not said that giving eternal life to someone is easier than helping your people?" I asked.
"It's not as simple as that"
"Okay, we can compromise"
"Good, call the saints"
Some bureaucrats who were given the title of saint entered the room, and we began negotiating. After a good time of negotiation, a shot followed by many other shots could be heard. and suddenly a big commotion outside and the guards were sent to the gates.
"You ordered them to shoot the people, to disperse them? Are you that type of person?
"I didn't order anything, I was were all the time"
"Someone did, and if you are not a king who cares about their people, I have not to say anymore here, and the negotiations are over, we will continue the strike" I said getting up from the chair, and walking in the direction of the door
"Wait," he shouted but I didn't stop.
"I order you to stop" the Godking ordered, but I didn't comply.
"Guards arrest him for Lรจse-majestรฉ" one of the saints said and the guards took me to the palace dungeon.
Ideas without action are nothing. Sometimes you have to do the unpleasant in order to keep your ideas running, but is not the dungeon that I was sent unpleasant, that was just a stepping stone for something greater, after all, I was the one who started the shooting, it wasn't that hard, just hired a criminal to shoot at some random soldier, he didn't even have to kill, just fire at his leg or something like that one hour after I was taken to the palace, and then he just had to run away, and be assured no one would recognize him, and even if he was. He just had to say that a Saint hired him, it would be credible, he was with me all the time during the strike, and he was paid with just three hundred kales, incredible what people would do for money when they are desperate.
