Chapter 20 - Chapter 20

"Oh, so that's what happened," Sara said, nodding at my explanation about the city guards while licking her ice cream cone.

"Yeah, I thought about just running away but it sounded like it would have been a pain in the butt later on," I said while eating my own ice cream.

"It wouldn't have been a problem. You're a princess now. Remember that." Sara said, sighing.

"Hmm, so all I should have done is show my insigma, and bam, I can walk away?" I said, baffled at how easier I could have been.

"Yeah, pretty much," Sara said, shrugging.

"Isn't it like abusing your authority?" I asked, tilting my head at her.

"Yes and no. Normal city guards can't really do anything to us because we are nobles, but if we run into a sergeant or someone higher, then we need to listen and comply. They do have the authority to arrest us." Sara explained, making me nod at the system.

"Hmm, so we will be expecting to see one today, aren't we," I said, stopping in my tracks with the dreadful thought.

"Oh yeah, definitely. After all, you did kill a city guard," Sara said sarcastically.

"Hmm, but he attacked you and drew his sword at me," I said thoughtfully.

"Oh yeah, there won't be any problems, just some paperwork and things and probably a scolding from the chief."

"Scolding?" I said with a dissatisfied expression.

"Yeah, she cares a lot about what happens with her subordinates," Sara explained, starting to eat her cone.

"Oh, I see."

"Well, enough of that. Let's get the things you want," Sara said, gesturing at me.

"Ah yeah, let's go to a blacksmith," I said, nodding at her.

"Why there?"

"I should have some equipment I want. Oh, They would sell metals as well, right?" I asked, tilting my head at her.

"Hmm, yes, but I would rather go to the merchant guild for that," Sara said, shaking her head.

"Ah, that's true. You guys do have that," I said, remembering reading about the guilds.

"Yes, and go to the hunters guild if you need a monster or beast parts."

"Right, but I don't think it's a smart idea to get monster materials that would be way too expensive," I said, grumbling at remembering the cost it had back on earth.

"Yeah, I guess the travel costs are way more. Well, it's expected they only come from the earth. We have a bundle of beast this side, so it's not too worth it." Sara said, shrugging.

"Yeah, buts what is the real difference between the two," I asked, not knowing how the beast are in the demon world.

"Their origins and monsters are stronger than the beasts on this planet," Sara said, shrugging.

"Ah, I see. Have you ever hunted a monster before?" I asked, wondering how she knew.

"No, I've never been to earth and you. I only heard from mom and dad." Sara said, rubbing her cheek.

"Really? Wow, you missing out a lot on that side." I said, laughing.

"I can say the same about our planet," Sara said, laughing as well.

"True true," I said, nodding at her words.

"So, have you hunted monsters?"

"A couple of times, they aren't that bad. Well, the small ones aren't bad the big ones are a pain to kill." I said, remembering how my superior gave me shitty tasks when I was in Africa for a few months.

"Because you can not do major damage to it easily," Sara said, tilting her head at me.

"Yeah, my skills work best against humanoids," I said, grinning while laughing.

"I see that's quite frightening," Sara said worriedly.

"Is it?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah, your laughing and expression is one thing, but when you cut off that guy's head, I didn't even see an image Ren that how fast you are in my eyes." She explained awkwardly.

"Uh-huh, I know, you know that uwe is the strongest on this planet, right? Just think Uwe destroyed me a few weeks back when I was at my strongest." I said, smiling at her remembering how useless I was against him.

"Yeah, there is giant defence at knowing it, and seeing it for yourself isn't there," Sara said with a shocked expression.

"Yeah? The first time I saw general Bell in action, I felt like you right now."

"...General Bell," Sara mumbled, looking at me shocked.

"So how long until we at the blacksmith?" I said, making Sara leave her thoughts and start looking around.

"Oh shoot, we walked past it," Sara said, surprised, looking back.

"Haha."

"Don't laugh! How did we even miss it? It has a giant sign in the front of the shop." Sara said, walking back the way we came.

"Ugh, really?"

"Yeah, didn't you see anything?"

"I don't know anything. I was following you." I said, shrugging.

"Tch dammit." Sara cried, kicking the floor. Not long after that, we arrived at a medium size building with a giant sign it saying, local smith.

"You weren't joking that things are huge."

"Yeah, so how the hell did we miss it."

"I don't know. Guess we were having more fun talking than we thought," I said, shrugging.

"Well, whatever, let's go in," Sara said, walking up to the main door, but a hammer came flying right through the moment she was about to open the door. Luckily went passed her head straight to me or well above me.

Moving to the side, I easily grabbed the hammer out of the air.

"Something common?" I asked while looking through the broken door.

"HANO!!!!!! What the fuck were you trying to do." Sara yelled, ignoring my question and stormed into the building.

"Princess Sara!? It was you?" A female dwarf said, coming out behind a table that I presume is the register.

"Hano, why the fuck did you though your hammer out your door like that," Sara said, glaring at the hano.

"Tch, there have been some bugs here lately, and I thought you guys were them again. It was just a scare tactic." Hano said, waving her off.

"… scare tactic? Seriously if it were, anyone else standing in Ren's spot would have died." Sara said, very annoyed.

"That was the idea, but she is way shorter than I thought-ugh," Hano said before receiving her own hammer to her face.

"Looks who is talking, dwarf," I said, annoyed.

"Hey, that hurts!" The dwarf yelled, glaring at me.

"No shit, it should hurt. It's a fucken hammer." I said, glaring back at her.

"Sigh, okay, guess we got it all out of our system," Sara said, sighing.

"I want to buy something from you. here is the list, and if you don't have it available right now, can you make it for me?" I said, giving her some papers.

"… you guys are just going to ignore that some people are harassing me?" The dwarf said, baffled.

"Not our problem now. Can you get me my things?" I said, gesturing for her to get a move on.

"Tch guess everyone is the same. Don't care shit about other people's problems." Hano said, walking to the back of the store.

"Hey, stop whining and get to it already," I said, getting more annoyed.

"Hey, Ren, shouldn't we do something at least? Like hearing her out."

"After she attacked us? No, and it's not like her business will be destroyed by whoever these people are." I said, shaking my head at seeing how big the smithy was.

"But it will hurt it."

"Sara, it's not our problem."

"But it is. We royals need to care for the commoners." Sara said, trying to argue against

"Sigh, if you have such a problem with it, why don't you ask the Sargeant outside to help you," I said, pointing at the broken door where a person in a white uniform was standing, shaking her head disappointedly at us two. I couldn't see her facial expression as the light cast shadows over it.

"Princess, have I not talked to you about killing my workers for no apparent reason." The Sargeant said, disappointed.

"What? I have never done that ever, chief!? Who the hell did that!?" Sara said, baffled seeing her being excused of something.

"Uhm, chief, it is Princess Julia that does that." One of the people behind the woman said.

"Oh, right, it was that brat, wasn't it? Sorry, Princess Sara, I have only dealt with that brat outside the palace or at social gatherings." The now known as the chief said awkwardly.

"Sigh, that sister of mine. I really should give her a scolding."

"Man, that girly is even worst than me, hahaha." I laughed hearing them calling Julia a brat.

"That isn't a good thing." The chief said, tilting her head at me.

"Right, you were here also. who is that, princess Sara?" The Sargeant asked, pointing at me.

"Sigh, Chief White, this is my adopted sister Ren Diamons. Ren, this is Chief White, the older sister of my best friend." Sara explained, introducing the two of us.

"Pfft, white like the uniform," I said, shuddering from keeping my laugher in.
