Chapter 1 - Pt 1.

"Hello...my name is Silas Abbot and, I'm a drug addict..."

Silas stood on the patio of his small studio apartment, taking in the warm April air as he took a long drag of his cigarette. He stared at the sky silently wondering what life would be like so far away in space, his thoughts interrupted by the ringing of his cell phone. "Hello?" He answered in a raspy voice. "Ah now you answer your phone huh!" a voice responded from the other end of the call, the voice low and weary. "Sorry mom." he put out the cigarette and went inside sitting on the nearest chair "I need money." she said with no hesitation and no emotion making Silas frown and sigh "Well go beg someone else I'm broke." he cringed as she started to complain and curse. "Goodbye mom" He hung up, he was used to his mom coming to him and taking all the cash he managed to save one way or another Silas's mom always gets what she wants. All his life Silas had been used to watching his mom use men for their money and once he was old enough she did the same to him, he turned off his phone and turned off the lights slowly tracing the walls as he trailed off to the bathroom. The room was dimly lit with candles and the running shower made the air steamy and wet this was his daily routine, start the shower, have a smoke, and then do the only thing that makes him feel. Silas opened a cabinet the scars on his wrist glistened in the enchanting light as he grabbed a bottle and hummed while retrieving the small white pills from inside taking two and letting the feeling of freedom take over.
