A year ago today, I thought of Disneyland as a magical place for children, that was until the day I went to the place I refer to as Hell, and it changed my life entirely.
My name is Austin Scott, I'm now 13 years old and I have a little six-year-old brother named Doyal. Doyal was fascinated with everything about Disney, from the cartoons to the shows, and even the merchandise. I remember it vividly. I had just come home from my friends and I saw my brother watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse when our parents announced that we were gonna be going to Disneyland and I have never seen my little brother more excited than the time he got a Mickey Mouse Souvenir from dad. I forgot to mention, that while I was with my friends, we were discussing rumors about Disney so I figured this would be a perfect opportunity. "I heard that it's a slaughterhouse beyond the doors of the It's a small world attraction." my friend Ashley said while looking at both myself and Ryan. "Yeah, my friend Cliff said he snuck inside of the employees-only door by the small world attraction," she added. Ryan also jumped in the conversation while I sipped on my grape drink. "I think, whichever of us go to Disneyland, should check it out." That conversation played in my head while we packed to go to our literal Nightmare. We lived an hour away from the Disney resort so my folks drove us there.
After about an hour later,
We arrived at Disneyland. There were families everywhere greeted by Disney characters. Goofy on one end, Daisy on the other end, Donald, Huey Luey, and Duey, and many more. My parents left me in charge after we got in. They gave us a map and some money, while they went to go unpack while giving me the hotel key and the time they want us to be there before dark. When they left, my brother wanted to go see his favorite Disney character Pluto, and when we were on our way, I saw him. Standing in the middle of the crowd, was Mickey...Staring at my little brother as families walked past the Iconic mouse, he continued to stare at my brother who didn't take notice at all.
Things started to get worse. Everywhere my brother and I went, Mickey mouse was always not too far behind, just staring at my younger brother like some kind of pedophile or something. After a lot of maneuvering from the Mouse, we finally made it to its a small world attraction. My brother wanted to go on the beauty and the beast teacup ride but, after convincing him about it's a small world ride, he finally caved but in reality, I wanted to see if the rumors were true. While my brother began to enjoy the ride, I saw the employee door that Ashley mentioned and from there I looked at my brother still on the ride and without being detained, I made my way to the door to have a peek inside to see a long dark hallway. When I managed to walk by to the ride and wait on my brother, there I saw him again, across from me, just staring as I got my brother off of the ride and decided to go to the hotel. Did he see me? I knew I had to get to safety no matter how mad I made my younger brother.
After making it to the hotel,
My parents refused to believe me when I told them of the Mickey Mouse mascot following us. They said, he maybe just wanted to take pictures with Doyal but I knew it was for different reasons. The rest of the day consisted of us eating lunch, family games, sightseeing, etc. We all decided to head to bed around 10 PM that night.
I abruptly awoke around midnight with the images of Mickey Mouse staring at us in my head. After checking to see mom and dad still asleep, I went to where Doyal was resting, and to my shock Doyal was gone. Our parents were heavy sleepers so it would be useless to wake them up. I noticed that the window was up so he had to be taken by none other than Mickey Mouse. I immediately took the key and ran to the It's a small world attraction to save my little brother. I managed to slip past the security guards and made it to the door that changed my life. I tunneled down the dark hallway unable to see anything and managed to make it to another door where there was a dimly lit light. I took the flight of stairs and while walking down, fear overcame me. When I made it downstairs, there was another door, and inside was a long hallway leading to another door at the end but to my left and my right were metal doors with a rectangular window you can see through but the rooms were dark, too dark to see what's beyond those doors. As I continued down the hall, the P.A system abruptly turned on and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song started playing but it was a more sinister version than the lights in all of the rooms were red when the doors opened simultaneously and Disney characters stood in the doorway with various blunt objects. Goofy had a hatchet while other characters had kitchen knives and machetes. They all slowly turned towards me when I ran for the door down the hallway while the demonic song continued to play. The thing that scares me is that they just stood there staring at me even as I ran and managed to go through the doors.
When I made it inside, I instinctively hid behind a metal table. To my horror, bodies were everywhere, the remaining Mascots…..were killing the Children. It was like a slaughterhouse inside and all were led by Mickey who was seen stabbing a kid to death. Children were screaming their little lungs out as Buzz, Woody, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and other Disney characters were killing children. I immediately regurgitated when I saw Woody holding the left arm and leg while buzz was holding the right arm and leg when they put one of the kids through a table saw as blood splattered over their costumes. The piglet mascot was ripping a kid's spinal cord out and dancing too much was going on and I saw Mickey staring in my direction with blood on the face of his costume. I was frozen solid but, that was until I saw Doyal forcefully being dragged by Minnie Mouse to the table saw. Without hesitation, I ran and pushed the mascot and grabbed Doyal and as we were on our way out, the surviving kids followed us. When the door opened The part where Mickey Mouse's name was being spelled on the kid-friendly song as it continued to play over the announce system. Goofy and the others started dragging kids into the red-lit room as the doors slammed shut with each kid that was grabbed and immediately killed while screams were heard. I held on tightly to my petrified brother when I was on my way out. I happened to look behind me, back in the slaughterhouse room before the door closed to see Mickey Mouse staring at us within the chaotic hallways.
After me and my brother made it out, we ran straight to the hotel and awoke our folks and told them everything, well, I did, Doyal was immobilized and too afraid to talk. When my parents called the police and the security on the Disney premises, they immediately went into the doors of the it's a small world attraction, down the stairs, and into the hallway where it all happened. We got word that nothing and no one was down there and not one trace of blood was found.
We had to leave Disneyland effective immediately because of what they called a Disney hoax. My brother and I were scolded by the police and our parents but we know what we saw even though there's no one to believe us.
On our way out, some of the Disney mascots stopped what they were doing, and stared at us. Me and my brother took one last look through the back window when we were outside of the gates of Disney, to see Mickey Mouse, staring and waving at us...
