Chereads / The heroes of Delijah / Chapter 25 - THE AGREEMENT

Chapter 25 - THE AGREEMENT

Jason was sitting under the pink tree with Cyril as the sweet, calm breeze blew his hair, making him look more handsome."Jason, how about we meet tomorrow evening. I'll show you the mystery lady."Cyril said with a smile."Hmm. If it's what the universe wants... then I'll do it. Expect me."Jason said and walked away.

The next day, Cyril was thealready waiting for Jason under the pink tree, with a beautiful blue dress, covered in sparkles. That was when she saw Jason. He was all dressed up with a cute red coat with fur on the shoulders and a handsome black top inside... He had the cutest boots and he got a new hair cut."You look really handsome."Cyril said admiring Jason's new looks."And you look stunning."Jason said looking around."Where's the lady the universe wants me to spend the rest of my life with?"Jason asked, still looking around."Jason, follow me."Cyril said and flew up the Sacred mountain of Delijah."Cyril, why are you taking me here? Isn't this the sacred mountain? You said it was sacred and no one should be found here... Only magical beings, like Goddesses, Witches, Wizards, fairies, mermaids and warlords. Not even Quin can come in here."Jason complained."Enough of the questions, Jason."She said and held his soft hands, then took him up the mountain. The mountain looked stranded... then, Cyril snapped her fingers and pink rose petals flew around in circles and a tall tower magically appeared in sparkles. Guess Cyril loves shiny things. It seemed to be the only building on the mountain. She held his hand tighter, but a little soft, so as not to hurt him."The moment Jason stepped in, he was shocked. The place was well furnished and decorated. Cyril then led him to a place that looked like a diner. Right in front of them was a table covered in a white little tarp, with two fancy chairs with cozy red cushions attached to them. On the table was a beautiful vase of flowers. Beside it were napkins, forks, knives and spoons, neatly arranged on a well folded pink and white napkin. Cyril snapped her fingers and a plate of meatloaf was served at the centre of the table. Behold, two plates of shrimps and prime rib appeared."Whoa! How did you know exactly what I was thinking about?"Jason asked in excitement."I'm a goddess, Jason."Cyril said and ushered Jason to sit down on the comfy chairs. The moment they sat a candle appeared on the table, making it look like a date.

"Where's the lady the universe wants me to meet?"Jason asked."Jason...I am the lady. I didn't want you to know. It's just... when the universe chose me, I knew you couldn't fall for me that easily... So, when Ivy died, this was my chance. We had to get fond of each other before we can spend the rest of our lives together."Cyril said and Jason held her hands."Maybe you're right. The universe chose you for a reason. You're beautiful, smart, elegant... you have everything Ivy had... but now, I have to move on with or without Ivy. The universe chose you... and now, I choose you too."Jason said to her and looked deep into her eyes."Jason, come with me."Cyril said and walked out to edge of the mountain. She sat on the soft pink grass and urged Jason to do the same. Jason slowly sat down next to Cyril."Look at the Sun. It rises every morning and sets every evening... it's like the Sun is running away from the Moon... Or they want to be with each other, but they can't. It's the law of nature... the law of the universe."Cyril said staring at the sunset. The warm breeze that blew in motion to the sunset and romantic moment and tension it was creating on Cyril and Ivy."Just like I and Ivy. I guess I was meant to be with you, Cyril. Like I said, if it's what the universe wants, then I'll do it... whatever it takes to be with you forever."Jason said.

"Jason, here in our world we take relationships really seriously. And it's not like that on your world. Jason, marry me. You said you want to spend the rest of your life with me. Please Jason."Cyril said as the wind blew her beautiful hair in a way that made her look really attractive. Then, she clasped her hands with Jason's hands."...I guess I have no other option. Ivy's gone. It's no use rejecting. Yes!"Jason said and Cyril smiled at him."Thank you, Jason. The universe is now at peace."Cyril said and caught Jason staring into her eyes. Actually, Jason felt Ivy's presence and his love for Ivy was better and stronger than what Cyril thought he felt for her. For a goddess, Cyril was unconditionally beautiful... well, not as beautiful as Ivy."Well, I... played my part well. The universe... should be at peace..."Jason said and held Cyril's face softly, then slowly pressed his lips to Cyril's and freed himself into a brief kiss... That was when he realised he was kissing Cyril. He quickly removed his face and turned away shyly."Jason, when will we have the wedding?"Cyril asked after the kiss."Well, I don't know. You should know."Jason said."Well, how about my palace?!"Cyril asked."It's perfect. Of it's what you want... then we can have it at your palace."Jason said."Sure, I'll get it ready soon. It'll be the most beautiful thing you've ever set your cute human eyes on. We'll have the human wedding and my world's type of wedding...It's a little traditional.I hope it's okay by you."Cyril asked."Nonononono! It's alright. We can have it all traditional if you want."Jason said."Ok. Then we'll have the wedding next weekend."Cyril said and placed her hand on Jason's hand."Yeah, next weekend."Jason said on agreement and Cyril rested her head on Jason's shoulder, then closed her eyes."I love you so much, Jason."Cyril said."I love you too, Cyril."Jason said and caressed her soft hair from the back.
