Chapter 1 - Kurisutarumajikan Chapter I: In The Beginning, There Was The End.

"You're worthless! Don't you know that?! Always drinking, going out and leaving job work to what? Hang out with friends?! What kind of father are you?!" "OH REALLY NOW? Well can you tell me what kind of mother cheats on his husband?!"

"I AM NOT YOU FILTHY IMBECILE!"

The argument continued on, their loud voices echoing through the halls of the house, it was cold, a chilly breeze traveled around the house, a girl on her bed shivered, pulling the the sheets over her legs to her body.

[~ I want control~ ]

A song played in the girl's headset, she bobbed her head to the beat of the tempo as it ran.

[ I want more body, I want more soul, make the switch to automatic, I want Control ]

She closed her eyes, listening to the music with focus, her whole body responded with a movement equivalent to the beat as the song played. Her hand making a switching gesture to the song's lyrics.

"It's...noisy again...isn't it...Yuriko" she muttered as she smiled at the blank ceiling above her.

"Let's go get some sun"

Yuriko stat up from her bed, she wore her slippers and walked to the wardrobe, she chose one of her favourite jackets her mother gave her and wore it. She took to the hallways and trotted to the living room, her parents still in an argument.

"GODDAMIT!" Her father yelled, banging on the table looking at her mother with fierce eyes.

"It's your fault why we're like this Ryou, this is why Yu-chan doesn't like talking about her father because all you do is-" her mother was abruptly stopped with a big bang on the table. Yuriko stopped, looking at them. The parent stook notice, Yuriko shyly placed a paper on the table and left, her mother sobbing as she sat on the couch. The door opened and closed gently, Yuriko of the porch and looked around, putting her hood up. The weather was somewhat bad, it was drizzling, the sky was a dark grey, and the winds blew their cold whispers, Yuriko shivered, contracting to herself as gasped.

"It's cold...damn" she mutters to herself, she pressed her earbuds to her ears, shivering from the cold weather.

[ ~If I should give in, if I should turn away, not a god, not a devil my soul could save~]

She bobbed her head to the music as it played, trying to hide her smile as adrenaline slowly flowed through her body. She walked towards the bakery to the right side of the street as it joined a crossroads. She bought some few buns of Yakisoba and went off, walking to where the music takes her.

She stops by a cafe, bought a coffee and sat down on a chair outside of the building, despite the drizzling rain she sat there, sipping her mocha cappuccino, she took her phone out and changed her music.

The weather slowly changed, the drizzling rain went faster as the clouds darkened, the wind huffed and blew upon the city, the wires danced, the trees on the side walk and the center isle bowed to it as it went by. Yuriko inhaled as she sipped her coffee, she finished the cup and stood up and threw it to the trashcan as she walked back home.

[~Every night the dream's always the same, Can't escape these walls of dark decay]

She bobbed her head to the music, her movement slowly synced with the tempo, the melody seeping to her bones as she walked.

[~Feel me drowning underneath the waves~]

She passed the crossroads, as the music beat it's tune, she hopped on a few puddles of water, she held the headsets and pressed it softly on her ear and swung her head left to right, the music now in control.

[~Every time it never seems to change, To change~]

She reached her home, she knocked on the door only to find it open. She slowly opens the door, freeing her other ear of the headset, she peeked to the right, behind the door as it slowly opened inwards.

On the couch was her father, his hands covering his face, he was moaning, crying. She never saw her father cried, not in her life, to the left of him, laid her mother on the couch, her eyes wide open and blank, lifeless as she stared into the abysmal shadow behind the door.

Her father looked at her, shocked, scared. Yuriko stared back at him, scared, terrified.

"Y-Yuriko"

She bolted to the stairs, she opened the door to her room and grabbed a few clothes from her closet and her dresser, got her phone and her laptop along with the chargers, and a few books and notebooks, she was about to bolt out of the door when she went back in, and grabbed a pen.

[~Took you away and now~]

As she was about to go down the stairs she was met by a blockade, her father stood in front of the door. She tried to close the door but her father retaliated, pushing and pinning her to the bed. The father started to sniff her neck but Yuriko slammed the toe of the shoe to his taint, he groaned in pain and fell to the side, she took her headset that fell from her head and shot out of the room, she looked at her dead mother one last time, and she ran out of the door.

[~They're gonna get it, all I have~]

"YURIKO!!" her father shouted in the distance as she ran.

"COME BACK YURIKO!" he shouted again, now faded, now echoing, now gone.

[~You know now you're gone~]

The night slowly creeped into the sky and the moon rose and took the sun's throne, shining brightly upon the masses below. Yuriko sat on one of the center isles in one of the city's shopping districts, she scrolled to a picture of her mother on her phone, she started to sob, slowly, trying to make it subtle.

[~And I just want to have you back again~]

A group walked towards her unknowingly, one of the girls bumped into her knee.

"Oh sorry I-" the girl said "Yuriko? What happened? Why are you like that?

"Eh, Yuriko-san?" said a boy as he approached her.

Yuriko slowly looked up, to see their faces, her eyes were blank, lifeless, and hopeless.

"What the hell happened to you? Come on, let's go to the cafe, come on Yuriko" the gyaru slowly lifted her from her seat, and she let her have her jacket, putting it on top of Yuriko's soaking one.

They entered the cafe, and settled on one of the combined tables. They they then relaxed, still perplexed with why Yuriko was alone in the city.

"I'll go get us some food, I'm guessing it's all the usual yeah?" one of the boys asked.

"Thanks Shirou.." The Gyaru replied, nodding at him, she then looked at Yuriko, concern painted across her face.

"Y-Yuriko..." She said, her slowly putting a hand to her shoulder "Are you alright?"

Yuriko didn't respond, she was staring at the table

"Yuriko...Yuriko!" She said, slowly shaking her. Yuriko, looked at her, tearing up.

"I-I d-don't....I..." Yuriko stammered as she broke down crying "Haruna!"

The group was surprised, the guys stood up, not knowing what to do, but Haruna motioned them to just sit down. Shirou had returned with their food, and looked at Yuriko, her expression is bank, but her eyes tell a different story.

"Yuriko..." Shirou muttered, now glancing as he set the food to the other accomplices.

"It's fine...everything is fine now Yuriko, we're here" Haruna muttered as she embraced Yuriko. After a few moments, she calms down, she explained what had happened, and everyone, had a different view of it.

"M-Maybe your mother said something wrong" said one of the guys nervously.

"I-I-I don't see that as the case...." said the other.

"Can you two fucks shut it?" Shirou said, the two, now embarrassed stopped.

"Should we call the police?" Haruna asked

"Of course we should, it's common sense, and Yuriko's father just killed her mother" Shirou whispered "Should I call them now?"

"Well of course you should!" Haruna whispered back, as she motioned for him to do it.

As Shirou got his phone out, someone behind him took the phone on the opposite side , Shirou stood up and looked behind him, hostility emanating from him.

Behind them was a group of girls, the one who took the phone slid it in between her breasts.

"Hana! Give that back!" Haruna shouted as she stood.

"Ooooh, what's this? Being the big boy now eh"? Hana chuckled

"Give back the phone" Shirou said, clenching his fists

"Why would the traitor ask for the phone, to help someone he betrayed?" Hana smirked as she put on a sassy pose.

"Don't you even dare" Shirou warned, everyone in the cafe watched them, the drama unfolding upon them.

Yuriko froze in place, Haruna glanced at her, sweating.

"I don't think Yuriko has noticed huh?" Hana said "In fact, yeah, she doesn't know it yet"

"Hana!" Haruna panicked

"What are you gonna do? Stop me?" Hana mocked "Rich coming from someone who stabbed their friend in the back-"

Hana was interrupted by Shirou who had punched her, Hana fell on the ground, her friends tried to stop Shirou for more.

"That's right feeling guilty now huh?!" Hana chuckled "You know Yuriko loves you but you had to choose Haruna instead-"

"JUST SHUT UP! IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" Shirou shouted "GIVE ME THE PHONE ALREADY!"

"Hana! Please just give us the phone!" Haruna said, pleading to Hana.

"Do you see this? Yuriko?" She called, looking at Yuriko.

The police had just entered the premises, the immediately restrained Shirou, who didn't fight back.

"Yuriko, I told you they were bad friends" Hana said "Do you believe me now?"

Yuriko slowly stood up, her eyes still staring at the table, blank, empty, and broken. Her heart shattered to a million pieces, grounded into a fine dust.

"Yuriko...." Hana muttered, she procured her phone from its hiding place, standing up and reaching for her to obtain it.

Haruna was about to retrieve the phone when Yuriko grabbed it from Hana, she took her bag and threw away Haruna's jacket, she bolted off out into the raining city.

"Why did you do that?!" Haruna asked in anger "Her father had just killed her mother goddamn it!"

Shock was painted across Hana's face, the sudden realization overflowed her thought process and everything stopped dead in her vision.

'I...I didn't think....I-' she thought, she tried to wrap it all around with no success 'But I....I thought if I.....'

[~Hollow heart is all I have today~]

Yuriko once again ran. Splish, splash, splosh, went the water as she plowed through the city, she turned to random corners, crying as she ran past stores. She collides into a group of people, knocking most of them off, she didn't care, and she stood up and ran again.

[~Someone came and pulled away the veins~]

Lights of the Tokyo district were a horrid blur to her, her eyes coated in tears, stinging her eyes, the lightning flashed, enveloping the sky with its bright light, she trips and hits her elbow on the railing, bruising it.

[~They stitched it up and put me on display~]

A wave of emotion flooded her heart, as she painfully tried to stand she falls as the wave soon vibrated around all of her body, she slipped on the wet pavement and fell again. after a few moments, she sobbed softly as she smiled grimly, she continued to ran, her leg bruised and her arm limply moving, her tired legs chugged like a machine with no objective, an endless cycle of rotating like a cog in an elaborate machine of broken gears and broken axles.

[~But nothing seems to cure me of the pain~]

She clutches her heart as she limped, she tried to limp faster, her legs giving out the last of their breaths, she walked towards an alleyway in between the skyway and a small shop where she collapsed, energy drained from her body. She tried to call, pulling herself as she dug her nails on the tiled pavement's seams, trying to move, but no luck, she was drained, she had no strength left.

Her joints are in pain, her muscles cramped to the point that moving is not an option. She was powerless, tired, tired of it all, of this life. There was nothing much to see nor was there anything worth waiting in this world anyways.

The song played on her headset as the rain poured down on her, sulking in the pavement she did as time went by, and as the musical entered the play, a bright purple shade emanated to her right. She glanced upon it's reflection on the watery pavement, a wave of ease and relief washed over her, after which she looked at it, both of her eyes fixated on the glow.

[~You know now you're gone~]

There was now an urge, a need to walk towards the purple light, the fatigue washed over her yet she still stood, slowly but surely she rose from the pavement, she rose from her slumber, backpack in hand.

[~And I just want to have you back again~]

She reached for the wire door, she shuffled it but it was locked by a measly lever, she took it off it's cradle and shoved the door inwards, the door crashed as it swung open, hitting the wired fence, creating an echoing clanging noise as it crashed to the wall.

And in front of her, a crystalline structure floating a few inches of the ground shaped like a diamond, it spun around slowly, it's emanating essence giving off a warm and welcoming area, an addicting aura that entices anyone who goes so far as to touch it.

The colour was warm as it slowly pulsed, the gradients of purple as it shifted and changed was mesmerizing.

'All my troubles...all my pain...I'll accept anything at this point. But this...It calls for me, it yearns for me, it needs me, He needs me, She needs me...I am useless....in a world where societal chaos exist...a world of wars and humble lives built upon the suffering of others...a world built upon lies...'

"I...Please...everyone....wait for me...I'll be there in just a minute..."

Yuriko slowly raised her hand, she gently touched the crystalline structure, and immediately, almost instantaneously as she had touched the object, her eyes was filled with colour, her head recoilled back from the sudden burst of power and light, her form slowly deforming as she got absorbed into the entity, swallowing her essence as she disappeared.

[~Took you away~]

"Wait...NO! YURIKO!"

"In my beginning there laid my end, and in my end laid my beginning. A life of broken poverty and pain, useless life, wasted life, I'll be there now, please hold on"

"I'm coming in now"
