The wyvern was all white, except its wings which had blue lines visible all over. One look told me all I needed to know… we couldn't kill it. So we did the next best thing… we ran.
We ran straight towards the mountain, looking for a cave. Just out of the corner of my eye I spotted it. Salvation! We ran as fast as our feet could carry us, straight towards the cave. The wyverns hot breathe could be felt down our neck.
The cave was within our grasp when suddenly… CRASH...
...
I woke up in a dark area, the smell of iron permeated the air. My head was pounding as I felt around my surroundings. "Damn… what happened? We were being chased by that Wyvern, when my stomach dropped. I must have fallen! But, I would have noticed a hole. I don't understand,"
My mind was spinning, trying to figure out what happened. Had we fallen into a hole? Or had the Wyvern caught us and brought us back to its nest.
"Phoebe! Are you there?!"
"I'm here! What happened?" I felt a hand grab me as Phoebe called back.
"I don't know, I think we fell into a hole," If the Wyvern brought us here, Phoebe or I would have noticed. Plus, its claws would have at least scratched us; and besides my banged up head I didn't feel much wrong with my body.
Suddenly we heard a loud buzzing noise. Not the typical buzzing of a bee, but a higher pitched buzz. I felt a rope wrap around my leg. 'That can't be good'
But despite what I imagined, it was much worse. The rope removed itself and a loud slithering could be heard right beside me.
I grabbed Phoebes hand and ran in the opposite direction with my arm outstretched. I still couldn't see anything, but having my arm out, helped avoid many of the obstacles along the way. Finally, I could see light.
We ran as fast as we could, entering a cave with bright crystals lighting the ceiling. Unfortunately, we could now see what was chasing us. A giant brown centipede with red antenna was running straight at us. I HATE BUGS!
"FREYJA!!!" I could only rely on Freyja wherever she was.
Unlike many movies or shows where when you need help and it suddenly shows up, Freyja didn't appear between that bug and I. I dodged to the side, with goosebumps all over my body. "Freyja… Please Hurry!"
The centipede lunged at me again. This time I couldn't dodge completely as my arm was torn off. I screamed so loud I felt dizzy. Sweat was pouring down my body, as was my blood. This fucking sucks!
The centipede looked at me again but seemed to hesitate. After a moment a giant green glob flew through the air landing on me. "FUCK!!!"
Luckily it ended quick
{Host Alaric has died, would you like to revive?}
"Can I have a moment please?"
I was still mentally traumatized after being melted by that centipedes acid spit.
{Host Alaric has died, would you like to revive?}
"Fine! Freyja please be there," I appeared in the location I had died next to a white wolf with her head drooping down. "Freyja!"
She looked at me slightly and lowered her head again, "This isn't the…" I stopped half way as I noticed the dead centipede behind her. "Thank you Freyja," I knew that I had panicked a bit when fighting this bug, but who isn't a little scared of bugs… I just happen to be very.
Now that the centipede was dead, we had a chance to observe our surroundings. There were glowing blue, green, and grey crystals all over the walls and ceiling. We were definitely in a cave of some kind and we now just needed to find a way out. Of course, I was gonna take a few crystals with me. Greed is my powerful driver, but as long as I show restraint when needed, greed can't be all bad.
I went to the wall to grab the closest blue crystal and as I placed my hand on it, I could directly place it in my inventory. "Thank god, I was worried I'd have to grab a rock and hit the crystals off the wall," I smiled at my sister who shook her head in response.
After grabbing 5 of each color crystal, I decided to continue looking for the way out. Fortunately for us, other than the way we came, there was only one exit to this "Crystal Cave". It was a long dark corridor, with a thin layer of water at our feet. Weirdly enough, it wasn't frozen. The longer we walked down this cave the warmer we became. In fact, had we not been teleported directly to the snowy wasteland we had seen before, we would have believed we were in some hot, murky swamp.
After walking for around 15 minutes, we made it to the next area. In front of us was a waterfall, with glowing blue water. While the cliff walls still surrounded us on all sides, above was the beautiful, starry, blue sky. On the sides of the waterfall, were trees of each color matching with the crystals I had previously plucked. One word to describe this place would be Oasis.
It was beautiful. When you're dying of thirst out in the desert, seeing an oasis is salvation. This place was hot, as you'd expect in a desert, it was murky, as you'd expect from the water filling the oasis, and it was salvation.
As we moved forward, towards the waterfall, a giant moose walked out of the waterfall. To be more precise, it looked like the spirit of the moose. It's antlers were covered in a green moss with blue lighting flashing through them. It's hooves were flowing with water. And its body was dark grey, like a stormy night. The only reason I figured it was a spirit, was the blue glow surrounding its body; similar to that of Freyjas illusory pack.
It looked at Phoebe and then at me, while having the appeal of a godly being. I simply could not bring myself to say anything. Suddenly, it sent two halos of energy from its body one towards Phoebe and one towards me. Then, as suddenly as it appeared it was gone.
