Every day, I trained with my mom in the labyrinth. Not because I planned to be a master swordsman or embark on a quest to save the world.
Somehow, the swordsmanship style my mother taught me always came to me instinctively. Within a month, I could spar with her, matching her skill for skill.
But the real reason I trained every day was to spend time with her, sharing in something she missed and loved.
It felt like playing and enjoying time with my family, something I never remembered doing before. And I think mom always knew that I preferred using magic over swords.
