I was going through my iPad for my next business trip when suddenly my secretary came to tell me that I had a call from my brother and it was an emergency. I asked her to leave I called my brother Joe who was in charge to inform me about the situation he was in charge of.
"Hey joe what's going on?" I asked as he answered the call.
Hey man, I have...some... bad news dad is sick and he asked for you ." He answered in a shaky voice.
"What.. what happened, he was ok last time I checked " I said assuring him.
"That was weeks ago, just come home it's important." He said hanging up.
I was so worried about my dad so I told my secretary to get me a ticket. I was so anxious about what will happen if my dad dies which I tried hard to ignore.
I drove to the airport as I was checking my luggage I bumped into someone who was infront of me. I ignored her and I looked at my watch hopping to be on time.
When it was my turn I showed my passport and the lady stamped it. I looked at the board and I had an a hour before my flight so I sat at the waiting room for the announcement.
The girl who I bumped into earlier was sitting in front of me reading a novel. I admire her appearance, she was tall and she had a brown eyes.
My phone rang so I answered it, I was so furious talking to my brother not caring about the people who were staring at me including her.
I turned around and there she was looking at from the book she reading then she went to read it again.
Luckily my private jet was ready so I boarded in. My mind was back to the girl ,I don't know why but something was definitely going through my mind but now my priority was to be with my dad as soon as I could.
When I boarded I kept hoping yo see my dad as my younger brother informed me how his health was in critical condition.
I got on time and I kept calling my brother to see if I was able to have made on time and luckily I was.
As I was still typing on my phone I bumped into a person whom of course I didn't care to look at.
There she was it's her again. I pulled my self together and there she was complaining I just ignored her and nodded to one of my guards.
He then gave her money, I shrugged and entered my car which was waiting for me at the entrance of the airport. I looked at her through the rearview and saw her standing there staring.
When I reached home my brother was already there to welcome me home. He might be young but he's full of fun and caring person.
And my mom was there at home feeling sad and probably scared for us.She then welcome me and she hugged and I did the same ,I took off my sunglasses as I was already inside . .
"Hey are we gonna stand here all day or what?" asked my brother.
"Yeah sorry let's go " I said as I got in .
"So how was your trip ?" He asked as we settle down in the living room.
"Amusing and mystery " I said taking off my jacket.
When I settled down, I was lead to my dad's room ,he looked pale as if he was going to die.
"Hi dad ,what happened to you ?" I asked in shaking voice.
I have never seen my dad so weak before he was always the strongest and most powerful of all time.
"Hey toby, am glad you made it I guess I can now finally die in peace, but remember to always keep the peace. " he said in low voice.
"What do you mean by dying, you are strong like an alpha you're, you're suppose to be the one to fight " I said holding his hand.
"No son, you are now the next alpha now I give you the responsibility to take care of our people, our legacy" he said.
"At least tell me who did this to you so I can make him pay for what he did" I said as I saw a mark around his neck.
"No need for blood son, just try your best to make me proud Toby " he said.
" I promise you dad, but one will have to pay for hurting you," I said in anger.
My dad looked at me as if he was saying goodbye and I couldn't stand there looking at him.
So I ran out of the house, to the streets I climbed the highest stone and screamed.
I don't want to except the fact that my dad just died because of someone and wasn't going to let it go until he pays for the death he caused....
