Li Ran was shocked.
She immediately entered the space.
Li Ran saw that all the things she had bought were neatly stacked together.
She then exited the space, feeling satisfied.
After that, she returned to the supermarket and bought a lot more items. She did not clear all the shop's stocks though, leaving some for others.
Li Ran then paid the bills.
Everything was going smoothly. She watched the staff carry her things one by one to her car.
Li Ran was extremely grateful and thanked her profusely.
"The day sure passed by quickly."
When Li Ran heard this, she raised her head and realized that the sun had begun to set. The clouds made the environment look more gloomy.
Li Ran scowled. She had a bad feeling and quickened her pace.
Just as she was about to leave, it started to rain.
It was quite a heavy downpour.
Li Ran knew that thunderstorms would usually follow.
She stopped at the front door of the supermarket and looked around.
She was horrified.
The rain was gradually turning red.
"Hubby, we forgot to bring an umbrella."
A pregnant woman with a slightly big belly said with a frown.
The man standing next to her immediately took off his coat and covered the woman's head with it.
"My clothes should be able to block you from the rain. We're not in a hurry so let's walk slowly. The parking lot is not far away. We'll get there soon."
The woman nodded. She held the man's arm and they were about to walk out.
Li Ran sighed. So this was what it's like for someone to take care of you.
But when she saw that they were about to step into the rain, Li Ran immediately shouted, "Wait! You can't go!"
As she said that, she took two steps forward and grabbed the woman's arm.
She forcefully stopped them in their tracks.
Both of them looked at Li Ran with a dumbfounded expression. The man then pulled the woman's arm away and shielded her behind him.
Li Ran suddenly realized that she had been rude to the couple.
But there was no way she could tell them the truth!
Who would believe her?
If she was in their shoes, she would not have believed it either!
"Haven't you read the article about the red rain? It's bad for pregnant women. You should not walk right into it."
The woman looked at the man, speechless.
The man instantly patted the woman's head softly. He comforted her.
"We don't know if that might be true. Better to be safe than sorry, let's wait a little longer."
Li Ran nodded and quickly said, "Let's wait. The rain should stop soon."
The woman leaned against the man, hugging his arm. She looked at Li Ran with a smile.
"Thank you. We should have paid more attention to the news."
"Yes, all you think about is playing games."
The man chuckled and looked at the woman dotingly.
This scene made Li Ran very envious.
The man turned to Li Ran and thanked her again.
"Hello, my name is He Xin. This is my wife, An Ran. Thank you very much for warning us."
"It's okay, it's not a big deal," said Li Ran.
An Ran smiled politely. She looked very gentle.
The rain continued to fall.
"Sigh, I'm going to miss the match if we don't get home soon. If I knew this was going to happen, I wouldn't have come to the supermarket."
An Ran checked the time. She looked annoyed and sad.
He Xin gently put his arm around her shoulder. He tilted his head and smiled to comfort her.
"You looked thirsty. How about drinking some water? It'll make you feel much better. If you're not in a good mood, you won't be able to enjoy yourself when watching the match. Besides, we can try to watch the live broadcast now," said He Xin as he took out his phone and started searching.
"Look, the live broadcast hasn't even started yet. We're not in a hurry. You haven't missed a single scene."
After hearing that, An Ran's mood changed and she smiled.
Li Ran's heart was moved by this couple's display of affection. She felt that their love was about to blind her.
"The both of you have such a loving relationship."
Li Ran said sincerely while smiling.
"Thank you," An Ran replied shyly.
"I'm sorry if our display of affection was too much. My wife likes to be pampered. She's happy when I dote on her." He Xin said happily.
