He remembered when he first met Hallie Morgan, the young lady who was both vain and prone to lying, who came off as greedy and vulgar to him. But as he truly got to know her, he discovered that even though she was not naive, she was innocent, not foolish but strong, she was a very unique young lady.
"Really?" she said, "I don't ask you for things. Yet you've always despised me."
"I certainly did at the beginning..."
"What did you say?" Hallie Morgan's voice suddenly shot up.
"Later I realized that no matter how much more you asked for, I could afford it." Imagining her then, like an angry little leopard with her fur standing on end in defense, he couldn't help but curl up his lips.
"You can't suddenly start bragging!" Hallie Morgan said incredulously.
Dylan Collins said seriously, "I don't despise you. Only when I can't give you these things, would I despise myself."
