"People are indeed different. Ruby Morgan is a celebrity, surely the future promotion will be primarily about her. Even though there are three lead female roles, there's a pecking order, and you're in second place. You can't compare to Ruby."
Hallie Morgan and her group walked in, only to hear such a conversation.
Lia refused to accept this, saying, "The director himself said that there's no ranking of importance among the three female leads. Why are these people being so gossipy?"
"Short tongues make sharp ears, don't they? Since we're partaking in their wrap-up banquet, we should say a few nice words about them. Let's be understanding."
Once inside, Ruby Morgan smiled and said, "Hallie, you're here. I'm afraid I can't drink alcohol due to some health issues. Let me toast to you with tea instead of wine, to celebrate our pleasant collaboration."
Hallie glanced at the red wine.
"I'm not feeling well either, so I won't be drinking."
