She looked at her son's anxious demeanor with surprise and said, "Has Hallie Morgan caused you any trouble?"
"No, why would you think that?" Chad Collins replied.
Whenever Olive Campbell spoke about Hallie Morgan, complaints were never-ending, "Let's not mention her, ever since she came to our house, not a single good thing has happened. She's rude, vulgar, and shows no respect to her elders. She could dismissively gesture and talk back to the Elder Generation, and no one could persuade her, especially not our branch of the family. We just don't get along. Keep your distance from her."
"Mom, I won't allow you to talk about her like that."

Olive Campbell thought she must have misheard.
Chad Collins said, "The Hallie I know is not like the person you're describing. She's cheerful and lively; she's just not accustomed to the environment at the Collins family, just like me, preferring freedom elsewhere."
