A young boy of around 9 years old with greyish white hair and eyes that were a unique mixture of emerald green and cerulean blue could be seen running through the halls of a small mansion.
The young boy who was running through the halls was of course Rion.
The reason why he was running was because he was late meeting his father who said he would be taking Rion out hunting with him for the first time since he reincarnated into this world.
Rion burst through the wooden doors of his family home ran across the small but colourful garden they had and came to a stop at the silver gates at the front of his home where he found his father Nialan, his father's friends Yutas and Zeldain, his two brother's Kanro and Lanat along with his two friend's Leios and Mexin who were all stood waiting for him.
His brother Kanro was now 15 years old while his other brother Lanat was 13 years old and both had grown into a pair of handsome young men.
All his older siblings had already awakened their core and even though his sister Valenia had managed to awaken her core she had only ended up awakening it a few days ago which is why their father didn't allow her to accompany them this time.
The first element that Kanro had awakened for his core was the Fire element just like their father but his was Grey Grade but through a combination of vigorous training, Nialan's guidance and finding a treasure that was suitable for his element he had managed to raise the Grade of his element to Yellow.
Unlike his older brother Kanro his brother Lanat had awakened with an Yellow Grade Ice element which was the higher form of the Water element, while his sister Valenia had awakened with a Orange Grade Psychic element which was an incredibly rare mutated element.
The Psychic element mutated from the Mind element but with a difference it's attacking power was much stronger than that of the Mind element it was mutated from.
The only reason why their fathers had allowed Rion, Leios and Mexin to accompany them while they were out hunting was that both of Rion's brothers had sufficient training with their elements giving him more confidence in his decision.
Although he, Zeldain and Yutas were fully capable of protecting their sons without Kanro's and Lanat's help it was always better to have more people able to fight especially since Rion, Leios and Mexin hadn't awakened their first core yet.
Rion was just glad that his mother Atrica had agreed and allowed him to accompany them this time.
He remembered how she had threatened his father when she found out that he wanted to take Rion on this hunting trip his father was so terrified that he almost changed his mind but luckily he didn't.
When Rion arrived in front of his father and the others he quickly began to apologise "Sorry I'm late I just couldn't sleep last night because I was just so excited" Rion said unable to hide his excitement as he caught his breath making the others laugh.
While the others laughed Rion glanced at his two friends and found from the looks on thier faces that the two of them were just as excited as he was.
Even though mentally Rion was 25-year-old this was the first time he was allowed out of his village so naturally, anyone would be excited about getting their first taste of freedom.
Nialan seeing his son so excited couldn't help but let a little smile appear on his face at his son's behaviour but realising the situation they were in it was gone only moments later.
Rion managed to catch his breath just as his father began speaking "Now I know that you three are excited but just remember that this isn't like when you walk around the village in the forest ferocious Mana Beasts are waiting to tear you apart without so much as a second thought" Nialan said with a serious tone causing Rion's, Leios' and Mexin's excitement to quickly dwindle.
When they heard Nialan's serious tone Rion, Leios and Mexin nodded their heads showing they understood Nialan's warning.
When Nialan had sufficently warned the three of them they all began heading towards the forest on the outskirts of Kulan village.
The forest they were entering was called the Vallen forest by the people of Kulan village it was bursting with life and was separated into different areas not by people but by the Mana Beast's that called the Vallen forest their home.
The forest changed its name 500 years ago after a famed Magi called Vallen not only protected Kulan village but the other villages that surrounded the forest as well by successfully fending off a Mana Beast outbreak.
To make sure that no other such outbreak would be able to threaten the safety of the surrounding villages again the Magi Vallen put up an array which erected a transparent barrier encompassing the entire forest and was still standing to this very day.
The transparent barrier was used to keep the Mana Beasts that were in the Vallen forest trapped inside, while allowing the people of Kulan village as well as the other surrounding village's to enter and exit the forest without any fear of another outbreak happening.
When they arrived in front of the Rion, Leios and Mexin started at the transparent greyish blue barrier as people passed in and out of the towering barrier with various Mana Beast part's in awe.
Although the barrier was transparent they couldn't hear a single sound coming from the forest the only thing they heard was the hustle and bustle of people as they went about their buisness.
Rion had read that Magi Vallen had made the barrier this way in order for the villages that surrounded the forest be at ease.
Unfortunately not long after this historic event the Magi Vallen disappeared like he never existed and hadn't been seen since.
The reason why so many villages were so close to the forest even though it was dangerous was because of the vast wealth of resources the forest provided.
This was the first time that the three of them had seen the barrier up so close and found it hard to believe that the barrier in front of them had been created 500 years ago.
The three boy's only snapped out of their amazement when they heard Zeldain shouting to them "Hurry up boy's or we'll call your mothers to come and pick you up" he said as he walked through the greyish black barrier.
The three boys looked around at the people only to see them chuckling as they passed when they heard what Zeldain shouted.
Rion, Leios and Mexin all looked at each other with a mixture of embarrassment and fear on their faces before they raced after the other's the last thing they wanted was their mothers to embarrass them in front of so many people.
Before Rion was allowed to accompany his father and brothers into the forest he had to go through month's of training just on the chance that they were separated inside.
Over the course of these months he had received training in various subjects such as tracking, botany, unarmed combat, how to wield daggers, bows and swords as well as a few other useful skills he may need to use inside the forest.
When the three boy's passed through the barrier their ears were assaulted with a cacophony of sounds such as growls, shrieks, roars, howling and various other things sounded from within the forest.
Rion turned to his father with what his father mistaken for fear on his face "There's no need to worry son just do as we say and you'll remain safe from any harm but if something does happen just remeber your survival training" Nialan said trying to calm his son down before he and the rest of the group started heading deeper into the forest.
Although Rion was scared no normal rational person wouldn't be but his excitement beat out his fear by a small margin.
Since he had only ever seen Mana Beast's in books he wanted to see what one really looked like 'Even though I'm excited I need to keep calm and remain cool headed' Rion thought to himself as he reined in his excitement before he followed after his father and the others.
Little did Rion know just how dangerous and life changing this trip was going to be.
