Gu Shu, San Zhe and Chu Ying ran out of the ballroom, not caring about the whispering Elites who parted way for them like the red sea. The three hurried down the stairs, worried about the state that Cheng Xiu was in.
The ran through the courtyard towards the entrance of the Technosphere where the cars were parked.
The three skidded to a stop.
Cheng Xiu sat on the hood of a grey car that Gu Shu realised was the one that they had come in. That was not the thing that made them all stop though. No, the thing that made them stop was the fact that Cheng Xiu a ceramic plate in her hand that was filled with fruit cubes and ate them slowly.
No pouting, no crying, not even annoyance could be detected from the girl.
"Where did she get the fruits from?" Chu Ying wondered.
The girl had walked out of the hall emptyhanded but there she was, eating fruits.
