The chase continued. Cheng Xiu jumped through the podiums and every time that she got close to the creature, there would be some kind of elemental attack on her to pull her away from the fish.
Cheng Xiu tried to wait out the attacks and then attack it when it least expected it, but the Carp was far smarter than she gave it credit for. Each time she jumped towards it in a sudden attack, it would hide under a podium and she had to land to the closest podium to balance herself after losing her target. It resulted in more elemental attacks.
Cheng Xiu closed her eyes and listened as the creature swam away from her.
