Chapter 3 - A new encounter

As the driver closed the door of the luxurious limousine, Manuel's gaze swept across an interior greeted by a touch of elegance. Deep red leather seats, intricately quilted and of the highest quality, infused the space with an air of sophistication. The gracefully curved lines of the seats beckoned to take a seat and indulge in the luxury palpable in every detail.

Golden embellishments adorned the dashboard and door panels with subtle elegance, providing a refined contrast to the intense red hues of the upholstery. The instrument panel boasted noble wood inlays that captivated the eye, emphasizing masterful craftsmanship. At the center of the cockpit, a high-resolution touchscreen promised seamless connectivity and intuitive operation—a modern fusion of technology and tradition.

The car's ceiling was draped in a soft, high-quality material, forming a harmonious unity with the rest of the interior. LED mood lights cast subtle accents, immersing the space in a pleasant ambiance. Every angle revealed the meticulous care put into crafting every inch of the interior, ensuring passengers experienced the utmost comfort and timeless style. In this limousine, every journey transforms into a voyage through a world of luxury and elegance.

Sophie chuckled as she observed Manuel, wide-eyed, taking in the luxurious surroundings. Once again, Geheim emitted a soft groan from his pocket. Manuel heard it and retrieved Geheim, noticing a small folding table. He unfolded it, secured it, and gently laid Geheim down. Manuel looked at Geheim with eyes filled with fear and concern. Sophie softly placed her hand on his, signaling him to buckle up. Manuel nodded and fastened his seatbelt just as the limousine began to move.

After a while, Manuel mustered the courage to ask Sophie where they were heading. She shook her head and simply said, "To a safe place." Manuel felt uncertain but tried not to show it. He turned away from Sophie, focusing on Geheim.

The journey lasted about 20 minutes until they reached a large tunnel that descended into darkness. It was poorly lit, and Manuel could barely see anything. He glanced at Sophie, who leaned back in her seat, completely relaxed. Sensing Manuel's gaze, Sophie said, "Relax. Although you initially wanted to go to the upper levels, I believe you'll be better off in the lower levels." Manuel looked at Sophie, bewildered. It was only then that he noticed the tray Sophie held, displaying his data. While he had been focused on Geheim, Sophie had reviewed his information and application. "I don't understand..." Manuel tried to initiate a conversation, but Sophie interrupted him once again with a hand gesture. "You'll understand soon enough."

Another 50 minutes passed before Sophie's driver finally came to a stop. Manuel looked out the window and recognized they were on a parking lot. He gently placed Geheim back in his pocket and was about to open the door when Sophie held him back. Suddenly, the car started to shake. Manuel looked outside and saw beams of light passing by. Slowly, he realized they were on a car elevator—an extravagant feature typically associated with the wealthy or government facilities.

Anxiety crept over Manuel as he pondered what might happen next, uncertain about the destination and the purpose of this elaborate setup.

After 5 minutes, the elevator halted, and the limousine continued for about 20 meters before coming to a stop. This time, Manuel hesitated to attempt opening the door and waited for Sophie's lead. Sophie unbuckled her seatbelt, moved towards the door, and it was opened by the driver. He offered his arm to Sophie, which she accepted. Turning to Manuel, she signaled for him to follow. Manuel slowly stepped out of the car and followed Sophie into a brightly lit corridor with numerous steel doors.

They walked the length of the corridor until they reached a red door adorned with runes at the end. The door was secured with 5 standard iron locks and 2 code locks. The driver, who had followed them, passed by and unlocked the door. Sophie thanked him, and he turned, leaving the two alone. Once out of sight, Sophie faced the door, entered the codes for the final locks, and the door swung open, revealing a vast bedroom that resembled a princess's chamber.

The room exuded an ambiance of pure elegance, where subtle power seamlessly merged with refined luxury. An opulent four-poster bed, framed by drapes in muted tones, emitted an aura of authority. Golden accents and handcrafted embellishments on the furniture not only emphasized style but also strength.

Yet, hidden in a discreet corner of the room, there was more than met the eye. Behind an unassuming wall panel, artfully disguised as almost royal decor, lay a state-of-the-art control panel. Here, in secrecy, one could not only manipulate the room's atmosphere but also command a sophisticated array of facilities. Tactical information, security protocols, and access to classified documents—all rested in Sophie's hands.

The inconspicuous chair in the corner was more than just a seat; it served as a secure hub. Integrated security measures and communication devices provided not only comfort but also a sense of safety. Invisible devices for room surveillance and communication seamlessly blended into the environment.

A seemingly ordinary mirror with a discreet frame concealed a highly advanced interface. By touching the mirror, one could access encrypted databases, manage security protocols, and control secret resources. In this room, grace merged with the invisible threads of power spun by cutting-edge technology.

Manuel scrutinized the room, attentive to faint footsteps that seemed both distant and nearby. Attempting to pinpoint their origin, the steps abruptly ceased. Suddenly, the chair squeaked and turned around. Manuel could hardly believe his eyes at what stood on the chair—a female variation of Geheim. She wore a crimson gown and had smooth, golden hair cascading down to her knees. "Well, well," the creature exclaimed, surprised. "You brought someone, Sophie? That's unusual." Sophie nodded, assuring the creature that it was urgent. She gestured for Manuel to take Geheim out of his pocket and show it to the being. Somewhat hesitantly, Manuel retrieved Geheim. At that moment, the female creature exclaimed, "Oh no, what happened?" She leaped from the chair onto Manuel's wrist, looking despairingly at Geheim. She swallowed and said, "Oh no, I told Geheim there could be trouble if he went to his charge today."
