Chapter 12 - Mine

(A/N: WARNING there is descriptions of blood and gore withing this chapter ;))

(A/N: This chapter is a continuation from the point Ebony turns into her wolf form and is written from her perspective ;))

Blinded by the rage of finally knowing who killed her parents her wolf burst through the wall where she could hear someone heartbeat behind. In her wolf form she was stronger, faster and all her senses were amplified making her almost unstoppable. However she had to allow her wolf to gain complete control, which was not always the best idea especially if her wolf was in a fit of blind rage.

All ebony could do was sit and watch as her wolf tore apart the guards that ran at her one by one. She pitied the look of fear and terror in each of their eyes as they looked up at the 7ft monster heading towards them. 'fools did they really think they could win against us how laughable.'

Ebony's wolf nodded in agreement as she flung someone into another corridor. Thinking that was the last one she relaxed until a loud shot was fired, after which she felt an excruciating pain ripping through her hind foot. Howling in pain her wolf spun back snapping the person into her mouth in one fell swoop.

Ebony could feel the person's bones cracking under her jaw as blood gushed to the back of her throat leaving a metallic taste behind. 'ughh spit it out it's dirty' ebony whined while face palming as she realised that her wolf was a complete savage.

Noticing that was all of the people her wolf walked forward still carrying the limp body in her mouth. She reached the corner that led into the corridor she'd flung someone into before and paused as her heartbeat rapidly increased. Ebony, wondering what was wrong with her and her wolf, held her breath as the wolf cautiously entered the corridor.

'Charlie?' smelling his familiar scent she slightly calmed knowing he was hardly going to attack her unless he had a death wish 'What's he doing here? Is he coming to attack her to' Ebony confused at his sudden appearance, hadn't realised her wolf had already walked right up to him. He was too focused on the blood covering the body at the side of the wall to notice their presence.

Muttering something he stood up and turned to face her gaze, when Ebony's wolf growled in a way Ebony hadn't heard before. It was as if her wolf was warning her prey not to run away because he belonged to her, however there was no murderous intent towards him.

Suprised, Ebony watched as her wolf dropped the corpse on the floor and leaned forwards licking Charlie's face tenderly as he rambled on about something. Realising he wasn't a threat, she exhaled relaxing in his presence, before feeling someone stroking her face. Looking down she saw his sorrowful eyes flickering towards her face whilst slowly brushing his hand against her cheek.

'Why does he have that expression? It's almost as if he really feels remorse for what he' s done...don't be sad because it hurts me too, idiot' Ebony mumbled while her wolf purred under his gentle hand.

Before she knew it her wolf had buried her head in his neck whilst rubbing their necks together. Finding her wolfs behaviour strange and uncomfortable she tried to take the reigns back from her. Refusing, her wolf continued to purr louder. Ebony began panicing as time was running out and if they were to escape they had go now.

Feeling as though she was being suppressed, Ebony's wolf blocked out her thoughts whilst mind linking her newly found mate,

"Mine" she growled as her mate jumped backwards almost slipping on the blood washed floor. Chirping the wolf sat down, pushing her mate towards her back so he could sit on top of her.

Slowly he walked over to her while holding his breath inside his burning lungs. What was this feeling of belonging he felt when he heard her claim him as hers. Jumping onto her back, he exhaled as he sank into her soft fur feeling the surrounding warmth covering the whole of his body.

Ebony's wolf satisfied at his acceptance of her trotted forward in an attempt to find the exit. Just as they reached the doors noises of guns being loaded and men shouting could be heard outside. Annoyed Ebony's wolf lunged forwards smashing the doors to shreds, along with parts of the walls it was attached to.

Dozens of men stood before them, guns aimed left, right and centre. Confused at what to do in the current situation the wolf allowed Ebony's chain of thought to connect to her own again.

'How on earth did you manage to get yourself in such deep shit in only five minutes you dumb wolf!? Argg how are we supposed to get out of here and why are you carrying this kid on our back for, huh?

Ranting, ebony realised Charlie had begun to speak softly so the others couldn't here,

" Run, the exit is straight forward from here, just drop me off before you leave. This is the least I can do for you since I've helped to ruin your life. Sorry... Ebony" he nuzzled into the fur on her neck as she felt his cold tears dropping against her skin.

'why does he make me feel so... Ughhh...nevermind we can't just leave him here. For some unexplainable reason I feel as though we are responsible for his well being and the only way we can look after him is with him by our side' determined, her wolf positioned herself to run at full speed.

'one, two three, GO!'

Ebony and her wolf charged through the masses of people towards the exit, which as Charlie stated was straight ahead. Accidently squishing a few people on impact, her wolf howled triumphantly. Luckily the exit was only a few leaps ahead. 'freedom...'

"aghhh-nnnn" Charlie yelped on her back rolling of in pain. Stopping, her wolf whined as she turned to see his squirming body beneath her. Whimpering as she rubbed her snout against his body trying to get him up she paced next to him. Crying, he yelled, "Run! Just run!... Please. You don't belong inside a cage here you nees to roam freely in the wild. So go!

Conflicted, Ebony glanced at the exit but her wolf tugged her back exclaiming he was her mate and they couldn't leave him. Ebony, realising why she had felt so soft hearted towards him, caved into her wolf and allowed her to protect him.

Circling around him, the wolf sat wrapping him in her body so no one could touch him.

Aggressively growling at the audience mixed with soldiers with guns and people wearing whitw lab coats, she lifted her head up howling with all the power left inside her lungs

"SHOOT HER NOWWWW!"
