After returning home Alex and slowpoke continue their training but this time there is an egg incubator with an egg at resting area of the ground. After running for a few hours both trainer and Pokemon are exhausted and moves to rest beside the egg.
Alex: ha... ha slowpoke your speed has increased , we should try to get more Pokemon from the sea and sell them so we get more pokefood for you and also for this little guy when she hatches.
Slowpoke: sloww.... Poke.. slowww
Slowpoke uses actions to tell Alex that he is getting lazy and work on his own and not make poor slowpoke work for him...
Alex understands what slowpoke said and knocks on its head and says" you lazy bum ".
The training routine continues for Alex and slowpoke with slowpoke fighting other Pokemon by the sea during evening. They collect different water pokemons by the sea and many smaller bug pokemons by the forest and sell them to the Pokemon Alliance.
Sold pokemons include:
1 Magikarp-5-200P$ for 1
2 krabby-12-700P$ for 1
3 kakunna- 7- 500P$ for 1
4 paras- 4- 300P$ for 1
5 goldeen- 7- 400P$ for 1
Altogether it brought Alex a sum of 16900P$, with so much money he bought pokefood for slowpoke, eevee and machop for 10kP$ and brought 5 moomoo milk( 250 for each) for the to-be-born pokemon as for rest of the money he bought pokeballs.
Alex was waiting for his pokemon to be born so that he can start his journey.10 days after his birthday Alex hears a cracking sound from the egg and moves towards it to see the Pokemon coming out followed by the curious other pokemons.
They see a Pokemon that has a wide, pink mouth with two visible fangs. Though its eyes seem to extend past its round body, visible eyelids surround them. It produces a faint, sweet smell. The toxic gas surrounding the main body can induce fainting and suffocation, and it is capable of enshrouding an enemy of any size.
"Wow... It's a Gastly " says Alex looking at the Pokemon in front of him while the Pokemon looks back and giggles at him and others.

Gastly watches from side as Alex and slowpoke trains and occasionally scares away other wild Pokemon that pass by😈😈.
5 Days after Gastly was born Alex starts training Gastly by making it use confuse ray on magikarp that are moving in the sea.

Seeing the confused magikarp Alex asks Gastly to use lick paralyzing the Pokemon and catching it. This continues and Gastly starts facing stronger Pokemon and occasionally loosing because it's still a newborn.
