Glancing at her clock that is still working she saw that it's already midnight. Settling down her bed she grabbed her favorite pillow (The one she always grips) as she fell asleep hugging it. Falling asleep Coraline is defenseless against everything that might happen to her. 'Thank You for everything ma'am" a voice sounded in her head. Suddenly Coraline has teleported to her classroom like usual. There is something wrong with everything. Her students are transparent except for one with a solid color. Michael answered all of her questions while her students just muttered 'Were hungry' throughout the class. It's Lunchtime now and as she walks out of the room she is being stared at. Stepping out of her class students outside have pounced on her as they bite every available part of her. Coraline however could not shout in pain but she smiled as one of the students pounced on her face taking a huge chunk of flesh from her face. Her eyeball is now displayed and is hanging.
Coraline woke up sweating she touched her face as she can't move from her place. Still shivering she shook her head and tried to recall her dream and the reason for her touching one side of her face. Calming down she stood up from her bed and brushed her teeth. She also took a shower. Ever since the apocalypse happened her always neutral mood has turned to anger at her surrounding. She is now easily angered and needs her pillow every day to grip out of anger as a stress reliever because she will hurt her hand if she did not.
Going out of her room Coraline immediately smelled something good. Her stomach grumbled after smelling the food. She peeked at the kitchen and saw the man with a book leaning on the counter close to the pot. She stared at the man as she evaluate him. That man is dangerous, he is very cautious, as he is also very polite and formal. "Do you want something?" he asked lifting his head from the book. Surprised she quickly said no before entering the kitchen. "You don't need to cook we can share the food I'm cooking," he said after I opened the fridge. "Oh then I must trouble you," I said turning my body to meet his gaze on me.
"Sure" Marcus replied. "And also do you know how you still have electricity here?" he asked before Janice could go out of the kitchen. "What?!" she said confusion and surprise evident on her voice and face. "I explored your house and I found out that you have a generator and you also have a filter on every faucet you have here," I said gaining a surprised look on her.
"No wonder" I mumbled. I thought that this place is the only one with zombies guess it's not. "Thank You for the information," I said to the man. Gosh, I feel like I'm the guest than the owner after all they found out things even I don't know. The man nodded as he turned around to look at the cooking food. "Also the food Is cooked go help with the table preparation," he said as my eyes widened. "Oh y-yeah," I said getting three plates and setting them on the table.
"What's Your name?" I asked after he set down the bowl of sinigang. "Marcus," he said shortly before going to their temporary room. I stared at the food as I wait for them so we can eat. "Hi, Janice!" Sky cheerfully said as she sat down on one of the seats. "Good morning" I replied with a smile. As we eat only Sky is comfortable as me and his boyfriend just ate quietly stopping our eyes from wandering.
"So how long have you two been together?" I asked trying to strike up a conversation between us. Sky who is reading a 'pocketbook' burst laughing as Marcus stared dumbly at me. "Were not lovers' he said to my face frowning. "O-oh I'm sorry" I replied before putting all my attention to the dishes. I can't help but feel embarrassed because I can still here Sky's wheezing and laughter and Marcus's grumbles.
{End Of Coraline's POV]
"Were also heading out today so thanks for the shelter." Marcus finally said to Janice. I can't believe we're going to leave the cute woman alone in this house. I immediately stopped laughing as I heard I want to eavesdrop on their conversation. "Oh Is that so then I am really thankful for helping me while I'm unavailable to walk" I heard her say to my brother. "Will you be fine alone?" my brother asked Janice. "Yes I'm pretty sure I will be fine" Janice said. "Mmmm then we will leave the house at 2:00pm so we will stay a little bit more" my brother said our departing time.
