"As compensation, I can reincarnate you to a random world with your intact memories." Said the unknown man clad in fantasy-style armor.
Jason was just standing, he was dazed and can't believe what was happening.
"Who are you..." Jason instinctively took a single step back. "...are you the God?"
"No, but just an Administrator of the universe you came from. You see, there is a great apocalypse that will be happening in your world that is caused by an anomaly so I need to do something to fix it." The mysterious being said with an amiable tone. "You're an interesting little guy, there's something in your soul that protects your thoughts from being read by me."
"I-I don't understand," Jason said with full of confusion on his face.
"Don't worry, it seems a higher being is watching you. Since that's the case, I can give you another perk, so that you'll surely be able to survive in that world but you must wait on your age of coming," The man said.
"I have wasted a lot of time here, I will now send you to your destination. Good luck."
The mysterious man snapped his fingers, before Jason could react he suddenly vanished like dust in the air.
...
Under the tree in the grassy plain, an unconscious-looking child was laying on the grass. The child has wavy chestnut-colored hair and wearing a wool shirt and pants that look from a medieval period.
He opened his eyes then he yawned and stretched his arms.
"It's been 10 years since I got transmigrated here." The young child muttered then he stood up and patted his pants to remove the blades of grass that sticking to his pants.
The young man was none other than Jason Young one of the culprits behind the ridiculous bombing incident.
He was transmigrated into this world of nobility, knight, mages, and demons. A typical western fantasy world.
Jason was reincarnated as a commoner, his family's source of living is farming crops. His parents named him Edward, a common name in this world because of the first Hero of Humanity, Edward Windchase. All of the common people idolize him, all of the newly born son at that time was named after the first hero.
Being a commoner at birth, Edward tasted some hardships in life. During his ten years in life, he changed the lives of his village by telling them the proper way to farm, to have a proper irrigation system, and using natural fertilizers to make the crops grow better.
The village praised Edward as a genius child and a gift of gods to their village.
The local noble who owns the land where the Nearwoods Village is located noticed the tremendous increase of harvested crops in that place and investigated it. The noble's greed was enticed, they increased the tax and the crops they were taking.
The commoners of the Nearwood Village can't do anything about it because the local nobles have their knights and family mages on their sides.
Nobles and the Royals have a higher chance of being Awakened, while in the line of commoners it's a super rare occurrence if one of them obtained God's blessing and becomes Awakened.
Awakened people are those people favored by God and who received God's blessings. The most common blessings are Blessing of the God of War, Blessing of the God of Light, and Blessing of the God of Magic.
Each blessing of God has different specializations, an example is Master Swordsman which is a specialization in Blessing of the God of War. All of the Awakened people are capable of wielding mana and can unleash devastating attacks or miraculous skills.
Edward also can't defy the nobles since he wasn't awakened and was just a commoner, in this world you need the power to have freedom.
"I have my intact memories but it does not help at all in this problem with the d*nmed nobles." Edward sighed then he stared at the Nearwood Village.
"Eeeeddwaaaaarrd!!"
A shout from an 8-year-old boy came from the entrance of the village. The little kid is Edward's younger brother Christoph.
Edward and Christoph have a good relationship because Edward can see his eldest son in his previous life with Christoph.
Edward smiled then he walked toward the running kid in his direction.
"What's wrong?" Edward asked then he patted the head of his younger brother.
"It's time for our lunch," Christoph said with a dissatisfied expression on his face. "I'm starving but Mother refused to start the lunch without you so hurry up! Hmph."
Looking at his brother's pouting mouth Edward laughed.
"Hey Chris let's race, the loser will wash the dishes." Edward suddenly ran leaving his brother.
"You! Wait for me!!! Cheater!" Christoph ran as fast as he can to catch up with his elder brother.
...
A few minutes later the siblings arrived at their house. In front of them, the house is made of wood and bricks, it looks neat and pleasing to the eye.
"I won!! Hahahaha!" Christoph said as he raises both of his fists to celebrate his victory.
"I thought you are starving Chris? Where did you get the energy to run like a horse?" A burst of laughter came from the woman standing in front of the wooden door of their house.
Christoph just smiled awkwardly and scratched his head.
The woman in front of the siblings is their very own mother, Priscilla. Prescilla was an average-looking housewife but a warm and lovable mother figure that is a must-have of every household of Nearwoods village.
"Don't just stand there your father is also waiting for the lunch to start." Priscilla turned around and sat on the chair beside the robust man. Edward and Christoph also followed.
"Edward don't go outside the village starting today." The robust man sat then he tore some bread and ate some stew.
"Is there something wrong father?" Edward curiously gazed at his father, Gideon.
"There is a sighting of a magical beast in the forest, even if the distance between the forest and your favorite napping place is about over a kilometer it's easy for the magical beast to run that distance in a short time," Gideon said in a grave tone.
"Magical beast," Priscilla muttered in a low tone and stared at her food.
Edward furrowed his brows. He knows what kind of threats are the magical beasts. Magical beasts are the mutated normal animal because of too much exposure to certain types of magical elements, they can use magical attacks or strengthen their bodies with their accumulated mana but there is a defect with the magical beasts, they will become really aggressive and extremely territorial even if it was a cute little rabbit before. Some nobles tried to have an experiment before, they brought an unawakened slave and expose it to the mana core for almost 10 years to gain power from mutation like what a magical beast does. The result is the same as what the magical beast experienced, even though the slave became capable of wielding mana, the slave became an insane and aggressive demon.
"Father does the stationed knight take an action?" Edward tore his bread and dipped it into his stew.
"Sir Basil said that the magical beast is quite tricky and he needs help with another Knight or a Mage..." Gideon paused for a second then he looked at his family. "... because the magical beast is a Shadow Wolf a class 2 magical beast."
The stationed knight to protect the villagers of the Nearwood is only an apprentice knight which is equivalent to a rank 1 magical beast based on combat capabilities.
Edward knows a few knight's rankings because the stationed knight in their village Basil is quite friendly to Edward and other village kids, unlike the other prideful nobles that call the commoners untouchables and see them as pieces of trash.
"The village chief and the elders decided to take the women and children to the nearby village for their safety while we the adult men will stay to guard our home and help the knights to subjugate the magical beast." Gideon continued to eat his meal.
"When will the evacuation start?" Priscilla asked full of worries.
"After the other knights from Drake Town arrive."
Priscilla nodded and she stared at her husband.
Somewhere in the Forest.
A three-meter black wolf with red glowing eyes is walking like a monarch and every step it made had a black smoke-like aura. Every nearby animal that sensed him was fleeing immediately but it was futile, shadow tentacles immediately pierced the poor animals either the animals were small or big nothing can escape from the Shadow wolf's fast and pointed tentacles.
After the black wolf killed the animals, it howled so loud that it generated a small shockwave.
At the entrance of the Nearwoods Village, an adolescent man wearing chainmail is standing with a grave look on his face, besides there is an old man with white hair and a beard unlike the young man's grave look the old man is panicking.
"That's the howl of Shadow Wolf." The young man in the chainmail armor said he is Basil Grants the stationed knight of this village. "Chief you should start the evacuation now."
The old man tried to calm down himself and he nodded and went back inside the village to tell the villagers to start the evacuation.
Basil shook his head and a few minutes later an azure feathered owl landed on his shoulder with a letter on its beak. Basil took the letter and read it.
"Hopefully they will arrive as soon as possible." Basil took some dried meat ration from his pocket and fed them to the owl.
