Tom opened his eyes and could see some people around him waiting for him to awake....
"Where am I ?", Tom shouted.
"You're in a hospital child?"
"What's your name?", asked one of them. "My .... name....?", Tom looked so confused and felt like his brain is out of duty. "He can't remember anything, anymore about his past, officer", said the chief doctor who came holding an x-ray, and they went outside of the room leaving Tom inside.
He barely remembered some screaming sounds echoing in his head which made him panic. Few days passed and he failed to remember anything about his past life, one day a policeman entered the room with a small suitcase. "do you remember this child?" he asked gently. Tom felt a great desire for the little brown leather suitcase from his heart. He grabbed it quickly as it's a head honcho for him but he didn't reply for any of the questions ...Toms' phobia arose after these incidents, and he couldn't remember anything which happened before. He started to break down and cry. The doctors hushed inside to calm down Tom but it didn't work. Midazolam (A sleeping injection) was injected. His eyes were loosened from pain and his eyes closed little by little for a calm sleep…
It was twilight when Tom woke up from the bed. Everywhere was calm and quiet and he started walking carrying his mini suitcase. He got himself to downstairs without being noticed to anyone as he had robbed something.
He had no idea where he was going but he did go out of the hospital as he wanted.
Tom could only see the cars moving at high speeds. He felt alone and anxiety. Poor little lad didn't know the directions to go. He had a stop near a building after he saw an Advertisement on top of the building stating about the brand new bus station which was only a few kilometers away. Tom was delighted after that sight…
He finally got his direction to move. It was almost 6 o'clock and the cold breeze awaked Tom from the chair at the station, the first bus arrived to the station soon after. It was free to travel because it was the first day. (It was a good day for Tom!!!)
Within hours he arrived somewhere in the city… He saw a vendor selling Imagawayaki , a Japanese street food. His stomach was groaning like a beast. "May I have some please?", "Yes, it costs 200 Yen child", but Tom didn't have a cent with him, he inspected the suitcase to give something in exchange.
There was a Golden colored box inside which seemed to be the only valuable one. "Can you have this in exchange for these foods", asked Tom. The vendors' eye balls enlarged after seeing the wonderful golden box. It had a rich craft with many designs.
"Where did you get this from?", the vendor replied.
"Eh… it was here in this suitcase, can you please offer these food to me", Tom repeated.
The vendor was like having a lottery in his hand, he was thinking about a beautiful shop and a nice home, he wanted to be rich beyond the dream of Avarice…
He swiftly gave some of the food and Tom ate those as he hasn't eaten for years. "Where are your parents?" asked the vendor. "I don't have them", Tom replied eating a chunk of food in his mouth.
"Have you escaped from your home?"
"Hmm…. no but I escaped from a strange place where I didn't know"
"So where are you going to sleep tonight?" the vendor proceeded questioning.
Tom had no idea about that and looked down sorrowfully.The vendor looked melancholy for Tom. "You can stay in my home until I'll find you a proper place" said the vendor. Tom was amazed by his words, but he was also in a dilemma whether to trust this person.
No option left because he can't sleep in the road… He had to go with the vendor. Fusao, the vendor was describing a boring story about himself to Tom while they were going to the house. His wife was cooking noodles for everyone when Tom entered the old, cozy home. She was a chubby woman with a nice face and a long hair and her name was Saki. Tom could hardly remember someone like her but he thought it was someone in his mind. Saki was amazed to see his husband with a boy whom she hasn't seen at all.
" Uggh, this is our new member to our family", The vendors family were looking as it was a boiling news. He had a pretty girl named Aika, she welcomed Tom as she knew him before… Tom felt a safe and sound environment in the house.
Days passed and quickly Tom was a part of the Fusao family. Tom was given the name, Fukashi Kosen (which means the Invisible ray of light.) because he even didn't remember his name...
Years passed…. Many summers and winters arrived and went. Fukashi is now 23 years old and he is now a handsome man. He spent years with uncle Fusao and gave his contribution for the development of the buisness. Aika, the daughter of uncle Fusao was pretty as a mirror and his love towards Fukashi is now not just a bonding of a family member.
It was another autumn and the leaves started to blow with the cold breeze of willingly winter. Uncle Fusao and Aunty Saki have left the home for a marriage in their village with Aika. Fukashi wasn't with them because he is not a highlighted person in the village. One day he was on his cozy chair reading an old book and drinking some "Sake".
Suddenly he heared a noice in Uncle Fusaos' room but it was prohibited to go to their room, but his curiosity took him inside the room and what he saw was a mouse.
It is no wonder what will happen next….
Fukashi started to chase the mouse away, his shots were making the room upside down but the talented mouse resisted from all those shots , while he was on his play a box fell down from a cabinet.
"What is this?", there was something he knew ; it was the mini suitcase he bought when he came..."Why did he kept this here?" he thought curiously. It was almost around 8 years alone in this box. "but why?"….
He opened the suitcase and it looked as it wasn't opened for years, He found those old items and the golden box was also there...
"Didn't he sell this box?", he questioned himself.
He was examining the box and found that there's a small key hole in the box and there wasn't any key for it. The unusual shape of the keyhole made Fukashi more intrested about the secret of the golden box....
