A few days passed and Mai was still overcome with feelings of fear and guilt. Her life had been restless since her fatal recklessness. Almost every night she had nightmares, dreams of what happened 12 years ago, dreams of her ridiculous carelessness until the dream of her being thrown into prison. Even though to this day everything is fine, no police have come to her house.
Aaron never contacted her again, probably giving up because Mai ignored him. It's better like this, Mai doesn't know how to act in front of the man, his kindness feels too much. Mai feels bad and is indebted.
The Whale Gray kids also seem to be busy between college and the band, there's word that a record company is interested in their demo. Hopefully, they really can enter the recording studio.
That afternoon Mai walked alone to campus, she had just arrived when a man with black glasses and a black dress like a bodyguard greeted her.
"Miss Mai?" the man asked.
