Mai looked at the interior of the restaurant she had just entered. Beautiful lights, paintings that Mai doesn't understand but she's sure they're not random paintings, tables, and chairs that can't be called ordinary and the number of visitors is not too many. If we wanted to eat at this fancy restaurant, we had to make a reservation in advance. There are only thirty seats here, outside the three VIP rooms and this restaurant is always fully booked.
Mai's father got a free voucher to eat at this restaurant. Mai comes from a middle-class family, of course, she and her family sometimes eat well at places like this but usually only if they get an invitation or special event.
