Mai choked and lifted her face, looking at the pair of brown eyes.
"You kicked me out?" She asked with a sad expression on her face.
"No dear... It's already late. Don't you want to go home?" said Aaron.
"Do not want." Mai shook her head. Her heart skipped a beat when she heard the word 'dear' just spoken.
"Why don't you want to?" said Aaron.
"I... prefer it here. I feel more at ease with you. Can I just stay here? Please." Mai pleaded with her innocent look.
"You want to stay here?" Aaron teased her while smiling mischievously. Mai nodded.
"Can?" asked the girl still with her innocent look.
Aaron choked. Is it because of trauma, Mai's brain has a short circuit, right? Seriously, does she want to stay? Aaron was happy, but then he pictured the face of Mr. Harry who would be furious if his daughter didn't come home and stay at the place of the person he hated the most. Aaron was sure that Harry would kill him.
