"You are afraid that I will hurt you," Mai whispered in a sad and disappointed tone.
Maybe Aaron was scared, maybe Aaron thought that the careless Mai was an unlucky one. Mai could have made the wound worse accidentally. Isn't that what's been happening all along? Thinking of that made Mai even more depressed.
A soft caress was felt on the top of her head again, making Mai lift her face, which had been looking down languidly. Aaron smiled sweetly at her.
"No... I'm afraid you're going to faint," the boy said later.
"Don't push yourself, Mai. I appreciate your good intentions. Thank you but... Just think about yourself first, you know I'm more worried about you." Said Aaron again.
Unbelievable, Mai thought Aaron was afraid of her but the man thought of her instead.
Perhaps worried that dealing with blood would make the trauma she suffered worse.
