Mai crept towards the bedroom downstairs like a thief. She wanted to check Aaron's condition but didn't want to disturb him, knowing Aaron was sleeping. If Aaron sleeps and everything is fine, Mai plans to go home. She's been here too long. Karina must be worried and Mai is also worried that her mother and father will notice her gone. The rain outside seems to have stopped too.
The bedroom door was not closed tightly and Mai peeked into it a little. It's rude and embarrassing for girls to peek into the boys' rooms. She should have just knocked on the door but if Aaron was sleeping, Mai would wake him up. She thinks Aaron needs a lot of rest.
