Vicki trying to meddle in his life affair irked her and she said in an annoyed tone. "It's none of her business. You are the boss, they need to listen to you."
"It doesn't work that way with me and my assistants." He explained truthfully.
She narrowed her eyes at him. He simply wanted to share the information with his assistants, didn't he? "Don't trick me into it."
He stared back innocently. "It feels like I'm keeping you in secret. Like I am cheating on my non-existent wife with you."
What he said unnerved her as her retort he expected did not come and she gave him a pair of sad puppy eyes.
