Xiulan squinted at Jianyu's back which was drifting further from her after having dinner together. She didn't want to part with him yet. "Jianyu. There's something I want to watch, but it's a horror movie. I'm afraid to watch it alone. Will you join me?"
He turned to look at her but didn't respond.
Xiulan scratched her neck and bashfully uttered. "That's if you are available. It's fine if you're not free."
He gave a quizzical look. "You're afraid? Quan said you are the bravest person he has ever known."
Damn it! Curse you, Quan!
"But it seems like even a brave person has something that scares her." He half-innocently beamed and proceeded to put down his jacket in agreement.
Xiulan's soul was jumping in euphoria while her face was forcefully maintained to keep it cool and not to grin like a madman. Quickly she rushed to find the movie to play.
