"I said go!" Kai screamed and was dragged back into the darkness.
"Kai!" Seraphina was torn. She wanted to help Kai, but there was also the issue of the lock maintenance hole. The first thing to do was open the cover while Kai kept them occupied.
Seraphina bit her lip. She had fate in Kai's ability and his uncanny luck that got him out of any situation. If he didn't return after they opened the utility hole, then she would go back and help him.
"Let's go." Seraphina grabbed Rosa by the hand, but the latter just flung her arm away.
"I can manage." Rosa got up and briefly shot a look over her shoulder. There was metal clashing against metal and shouting within the tunnel. Kai was probably fighting and fending Ric's group alone.
