I'm carrying Qwan and holding Tez's hand as we made our way to the long ass line at the entrance of the Park. Manny is carrying Grammy which is really sweet of him. But I noticed how he turned a little red, was he blushing? OMG, What did she say to him? Grammy is a stone-cold freak and a huge flirt, hell she ain't got 8 kids for nothing! I know she's flirting with him lmao. I mindlink him, 'Papi is My Grammy flirting with you?' I was trying so hard to not laugh but it was getting harder with his face growing so red! I burst into a fit of giggles not being able to hold it in any longer.
His flustered look quickly morphed into a sharp one as his eyes went from blue to gold. That's Jaspier! They snapped to me and I nearly choke on my saliva when he says, 'You'll pay for that later, Mate!' Oh man what?! I immediately regret teasing him, 'Wha.. Papiii? I'm s-' I whine pouting while trying to apologize but he counters quickly with a resolute, 'No!' Damn! I guess Qwan noticed my face because he asks, 'Keya are you awight (alright)?" He sounds so cute! I cheer up smiling, "Yeah I'm alright, are you ready to go have you some fun? They have so much stuff for us to play on in there!"
I tell him excitedly and he and Tez shout, "Yes!" Qwan asks, "Do dey hab tois to pway wif?"(Do they have toys to play with?) I deciphered his question, and although Qwan's speech is bad, Tez's speech is way worst. He talks ass backward! He would take something simple like, 'good morning'. And he would say, 'mood gorning'. He's been diagnosed with dyslexia and lucky I've been around him long enough to understand what it is he's saying. Because sometimes I am completely lost as to what he's asking me.
Example, a couple of years ago he told me, "I wan tum ickio n mil." And on my life y'all I had no clue what he was talking about. I asked him to repeat it so many times that he got frustrated and was about to cry! But our Mom walked into the kitchen after hearing him and said, "Gurl give that damn boy some cereal and milk!" No fuckin way! "WTH is that what he said??" I was flabbergasted to say the least lol.
I tell Qwan, "Um I actually don't know if they have toys in there. But we can look tho." Manny tells them calmly, "Yes they have lots of toys Qwan and when we get inside you can pick out the ones you want. And I'll buy them for you okay?" Qwans' little face lit up he had the biggest grin! With his snaggle-toothed self. "Rweally? Any wone I want?" Manny smiles promising him, "Yup any one you want." Qwan beams at him while Tez pouts stubbornly, "Wha 'bout me!?" Manny chuckles, "You too Tez." And Tez snickers mischievously like he just stole a toy from Qwan and no one noticed. Manny's gonna have them spoiled rotten by the time we leave, smh.
We get to the entrance and he buys us all seasonal passes and all the extras! Damn, he wasn't kidding! After we make it through the metal detectors we see this huge fountain with a carousel behind it. I've only seen these in movies! We were about to run to it but Manny says, "Wait! We need a plan before you just go running off." I turn and see that he's serious, "What do we need a plan for? We just going to have some fun." Dang chill out! He firmly holds my face, "Are you gonna be having fun when someone goes missing and you can't find them? Because believe me it can and has happened. One of my sisters went missing for over two hours. We had no idea where she was! I don't want that and I'm sure none of y'all want that either." He says sternly looking around at all of us.
"Of course, I don't want that to happen." I'd die if one of my Stinkers came up missing and it was my own fault! They are like my kids. My family agrees looking at their own kids concerningly. "So how do we prevent that from happening? Because I'd hate for that to happen, Papi." He suggests, "Communication is Key! We could split up into groups and always keep an eye out for each other. How many of y'all besides me and Keya have a cell phone?"
My uncle Ed, my aunt Shenita and my aunt Tiny each have one. Everyone else either has a pager or nothing at all. There are pay phones throughout the Park so that's cool and they can just page us. So we all exchanged info and split up into three groups. In our group were my Stinkers, Grammy, my pregnant aunt Shenita, her husband Al, and their three kids; Don, TK and Monte. The second group was my oldest aunt Tiny, her baby daddy Steve, her son Dee and her young daughter, Moni. My aunt Tricey her boyfriend Alfred, my oldest uncle Darren and his son which is my only older cousin Lil Darren. He is my Grammys first grandchild I'm the second.
The third group consists of my other uncle Ed and his daughters' Mom, Sonia and their two daughters, Tia and Quita. And my two aunts Kesha, with her boyfriend Kris and YoYo, her boyfriend Steven and her son Jamo. Manny goes to an ATM and literally gave everyone a $1000! He's gonna have everyone spoiled before we leave! We are looking at a map deciding where we wanna go first. "So where you wanna go first Mami?" I look around at the area we're in right now, "Why don't start at the front and work our way around the Park? That way we won't miss nothing." I look around at everyone and after a bit of debating we all agree. And start off our trip in the Carousel Plaza. Getting on the Carousel was fun and my little brothers and cousins enjoyed it. But I was really looking forward to getting on some roller coasters.
