Giselles POv
_____
It had been a day or two of not going home, Giselle wondered if it would be okay for her to go back or not. Instead she snuck through her bedroom window while her parents weren't home, she took a shower, got some clean clothes, and blow dried her hair before she left. The Amusement park wasn't that far, She was sure Darian would've met up with her at her house, but she didn't give him her address, reasonably so.
When she got there Darian was already waiting for her by the entrance despite her being early.
"Sorry if I kept you waiting long." Giselle said, panting under her breath.

Darians POV
_____
Darian saw Giselle running towards him, her raven hair and the faint blush on her face from the cold made her look like an embraceable angel. Despite her resting bitch-face she looked cute in the snug clothing.
"You didn't keep me waiting long at all, I just got here early." Darian replied. In truth, he was simply too excited.
Behind them the Amusement Park was decorated in all assortments of spooky themed attractions. Skeletons, pumpkins, spiders, witches, etc. Any spooky themed attraction you name it, it was there. Giselle was starting to grow concerned with how much the tickets were, only to find out they came at the cheap price of twenty whole dollars.
Darian paid quickly and moved along, Giselle seemed excited and wowed.
"Y'know Darian, I've never actually been to an Amusement Park before." Giselle casually starts.
Darian looks over at her genuinely flabbergasted. " What!? How!? That's just, how old are you now?"
Giselle laughs, "eighteen as of a couple months ago, I'm a grown ass woman."
Darian's face becomes even more surprised, He laughs, "You won't believe it but last week was actually my birthday, I only just turned Eighteen, I find it funny you're older than me."
After having a little laugh the two were carefree as birds. Giselle felt like she could be a different person around Darian, even if it was just for a couple of hours she could pretend to be the kind of person she wanted to be. Darian couldn't help but feel normal for once, he felt like he could be himself around her, he didn't have to pretend to be anything for anyone.
They enjoyed spooky hot chocolates, games for prizes, roller coasters, and even the tea cup rides. They went through a jump scare attraction, Giselle unfortunately got them kicked out of it by accident for hitting one of the workers dressed as a haunted doll.
The two of them happen to pass by a carousel, it was odd because it allowed for two people per animal. Darian isn't too interested in it until Giselle stops to stare at it and all it's brilliant lights. Many people, mostly couples, were in line. "Did you want to go on it?" Darian asks.
Giselle stares at it suddenly looking over caught off guard by Darian's question. " Well… haha, I don't know, I'm not really familiar with these things."
Darian smiles knowingly, "Okay, let's get in line then!" Darian teasingly pushes a shy Giselle along. The two waited a good half hour before reaching the ticket taker. "Uhm, you too will have to sit together, is that fine?" The ride operator asks.
Darian and Giselle look at each other, "Yeah?" she replies.
"Good okay, I suppose you two can get situated on your own then." The ride operator leaves to check in with the other people there as Darian and Giselle get on the fake painted horse.
"Did you wanna ride in front or?" Giselle asks.
Darian shrugs his shoulders, "It's up to you, like you said this is your first time at an amusement park, I'd like you to sit where you want."
Giselle accepts this offer and rides in the front, leaving Darian in the back to hold onto her waist somewhat awkwardly. Darian feels afraid to make her uncomfortable in that moment, Giselle wasn't concerned at all though, she took his hands and made sure they were wrapped around her tightly. "Make sure you hold on tightly, I don't want either of us tipping over." Giselle said this casually as Darian could see her ears turn red.
He chuckled in her ear behind her, "Yeah, I guess you're right."
As the ride starts so does the music. The aroma of funnel cakes filled the night air with comfort. The sound of the music and people were drowned out for a moment as Darian stared at Giselle in a trance. He mumbled under his breath, "I think I like you, Giselle." Giselle looked back, she couldn't hear what he said, "Did you say something Darian?" Darian immediately shook his head, "No, must've been someone in the distance."
As the noise settled and the ride ended Giselle stretched, "That ride was actually pretty fun despite it being a little slow."
The two begin walking to the next attraction.
"Yeah, it was my favorite when I was a kid," Darian says.
"Oh? What was it like? Being a kid and coming here?" Giselle asks.
"Well, I don't know, I only came here a couple times with my mom."
The two approach an attraction of mirrors. Black and white stripes were decorated on their frames, the theme of the inside were clowns. Darian pauses and looks at Giselle. The light from the mirrors echoed on one side of her face leaving the other dark as she looked up into his golden eyes. "This was actually the last place I saw her. She had made me go in, I got lost and went looking for her. When I came out she was gone. I ended up roaming this place all day, until the security found me."
Giselle looked at Darian with a concerned face, she stood quietly listening.
"After that my Aunt took me in, it was actually around that time I met you Giselle. I went to this one playground almost everyday and I'd see you there, you may not remember but you were my best friend. Fae used to try and bully and you'd just punch her every time. You were so funny to me." Darian smiled and chuckled, ignoring the painful parts of what he'd just told Giselle.
Giselle smiles and giggles with him, "I guess I was pretty cool huh."
The two turn to stare into the mirrors at themselves, laughing.
