Although I decided to find clues about the hidden motive of the event,I actually had no idea where to start.
The stadium was extremely huge and participants had limited access to certain areas.This would be a pain in the ass and would likely hinder my search.
Everybody else was was either the enjoying the festival by visiting shops or stands but at this current point in time I was inside.The first place I wanted to check would be the staff room for those who were working at the festival.I had a hunch that there was inside help to set this all up as infiltrating something on such a large scale as this would be almost impossible without any help.
While I was observing the hallways I came across a janitor closet,It looked nothing out of the ordinary but I decided inspected it anyway.The room was pitch black when I entered so I turned on the switch only to find that it didn't work.*sigh*[How unfortunate].
I opened the door slightly so that light could enter,this helped only a bit but it was better than nothing.I squinted my eyes in the dark while looking around for anything out of the ordinary.At first glance this room was certainly nothing out of the ordinary so I put my brain to use.
[If I was a lackey of an organisation,where would I hide something]I looked up and saw that the tile on the ceiling had finger marks on it which left one possible explanation.
but before I could finish thinking a pair of footsteps could be heard approaching the door,a natural reaction to this would be running away but I couldn't make much noise and at this point he could have easily seen me if I decided to run so that left me with one choice.
The man opened the door and he saw...nothing.He casually picked up a broom just like a normal janitor but before he left,he grabbed a chair and stood on it and as I expected he removed the tile and from it grabbed a bag with a radio hidden it,as soon as he picked up the radio, a voice started speaking from the other side.
I couldn't make out the words but judging from the voice I could tell it was male but that was about it.If I had an ability that could detect and alter radio waves I could probably track the receiver on the other end of the device but I obviously couldn't.Although I couldn't listen to the other person,I sure as hell could listen to the man in front of me.
"Yes sir,all the preparations are complete"
"*unintelligible*"
"we see no problems and we expect the plan to go perfectly as long as there is no outside interference"
"*unintelligible*"
"Yes sir,I'll be hanging up now- and ah,I almost forgot to tell you,the bomb is expected to kill a few thousand people at least,that includes participants and spectators,with this we can finally announce to the world that we are here"
After cutting the call he put everything back as it was and left,I abandoned my hiding spot behind the door and just stood there trying to take in the conversation I just heard.
Me,my friends and countless innocent people are in trouble.Now was not the right time to be standing around so I left quietly and started pursuing the "janitor".
If I am able to draw out info from him,This makes the situation at least a little less dire.
