Chapter 18 - Mission half complete

Julius ran towards the area allocated to outer sect members.

Dragon's Eye sect had divided into Outer Sect Member and Inner Sect Member. Unlike inner sect members, outer sect members had access to limited places inside the sect.

The morning practice session was almost over, and few people were talking with each other. Few were going back to their room to get some rest. By the time Julius reached the outer sect area, he could see people everywhere. It was a good time for Julius to blend in with the group and ask questions related to Yui.

After asking about Yui for more than half an hour, Julius got few answers and using Yui's physical description Julius was finally able to get Yui's room number. But most importantly, it was his inner sect uniform that helped him the most. Whenever he asked any outer sect member any question, they all answered it respectfully and honestly.

After finding out about Yui's room number, he went straight to her room. Once he reached Yui's room, he knocked on her door. But he got no reply. He tried again, but he still didn't get any response.

After Julius got no response from Yui, he decided to check whether she is inside the room or not. As he was about to open the door, the door opened by itself.

He saw Yui standing behind the door.

"Who are you?" Yui asked.

"My name is Julius," Julius answered.

Yui looked towards Julius, expecting him to continue.

Julius looked back at Yui expecting, that telling his name would be good enough of an introduction. After all, who doesn't know about the 'trash' Julius?

Her stare turned into a glare once she noticed the inner sect uniform on Julius.

"If you are here to show off your status. You can leave," Yui said that and tried to close the door.

Julius tried to stop Yui from closing the door, "Hey, wait. I am not here to show off. I want to tell you something."

"You all inner sect members always ays the same thing," Yui replied.

Julius tried his best to stop Yui from closing the door, but she was using qi, and he was not. In the end, Yui was successful in closing the door.

Once the door closed, Julius had no option but to use the ace card, "Hey, I was sent here by the person who helped you yesterday."

After closing the door, Yui was going back to sleeping when she heard Julius. Yui turned to open the door but stopped herself. She thought that Julius was sent here by the people who bullied her.

"I don't believe you," Yui said.

"I know you are afraid of the people who bullied you yesterday but believe I was sent here by the person who saved you," Understanding that Yui had her own suspicions, Julius tried to gain Yui's trust.

Yui didn't know what to believe. She was confident that Julius was not sent here by the guy who saved her, but at the same time, she didn't want to risk it.

Getting no response from Yui, Julius continued, "I know it's hard to for you believe me, but I can assure you. I am sent here by the guy who saved you."

"How could I believe in you," Yui finally replied.

"There are not a lot of ways to make you believe in me, but you should have remembered that when you and the other guy knocked out everyone. You told him your name. I am pretty sure no one knows about outside of you and him."

Yui tried to remember yesterday's incident noticed that what Julius was saying was correct. No one outside of her and him should know about it. But, she spotted another problem. What if one of the pill sect members were not completely knocked out and heard her saying her name?

"Pill sect members were present there also. What if they heard it?" Yui said to Julius.

Julius was feeling confident that he had achieved Yui's trust, suddenly felt his confidence dawdled.

"I am sure that you would have checked whether they are unconscious or not once he left," Julius said, regaining his confidence.

Yui thought about it and nodded. But Julius couldn't see her since she was behind the door. He guessed that since Yui was silent, she agreed with his statement.

"So, how could they have known about it?" Julius asked again.

"But still..." Yui was still not sure.

"I know it's hard for you to believe in me, but you should have heard about me in the sect," Julius finally used the pity card.

Yui tried to remember Julius's name. At first, she thought that Julius would be a disciple of some great person inside the sect. But when she tried to remember, she found out that no one was named Julius. She was about to ask Julius who was he when Yui remembered. A boy named Julius whose meridians were damaged, and he could not cultivate.

"You are the guy who could not cultivate," Yui suddenly said.

"Well, yeah, I am that guy. But there was no need for you to say it," Julius tried to use the guilt card this time.

Yui felt guilty when she heard Julius.

"Sorry for that."

"So, now you finally believe in me. Can we talk now," Julius said.

Yui opened the door and allowed Julius to come in.

Julius, with a hidden smile, entered the room.

'Mission half complete,' Julius thought.
